@Crabby: Nice pickups! Atlus games are always worth seeking out.

Here's the an item I forgot in the last post:

I'm sure Shadow recognizes this. It's an OG Xbox refresh disc.

That's interesting Addicted. Did they ever make a disc that would allow you to lock a new HDD to the system after swapping?

Picked up A TI-99/4A Computer, if anyone knows these things really well please let me know because I have tons of questions.

We had TI-99/4As in our classrooms in elementary school for the learning games like Meteor Multiplication and Dragon Division; but I still enjoy TI Invaders, Hunt the Wumpus, and Munchman.  I re-soldered my video connector for A/V out, so I play my TI on a big screen now. Very cool and nice picture quality.

Oh baby... that takes me back. We still have a couple lying around in our Mastering lab, but we stopped ordering them after Microsoft just released the ISO for them.

What do you mean by "lock" the HDD to the system? Do you mean transfer the DRM? If so, you can do that on Microsoft's website, but it's a once-per-year deal.

Finally got my Atari Jr. working so I decided to grab some games, from Game Quest. Joe and Mac was from GQ as well. The Super ESB I got from a buddy.

It seems I can't make a post in this thread these days without at least 3 pictures.  I'd slow down but bite me, it's fun.

I got this stuff from a couple of thrifts Thursday and Saturday.  It's mostly PC stuff, but that RollerCoaster Tycoon board game is pretty awesome.  It's pretty much complete, too.

And here's the second load of stuff I picked up from thrifts Thursday and Sunday.

Nothing too special here, but those were the first PSP games I've found at a thrift.

Next, I had to drive to Akron, OH for work so I stopped by one of those Half Price Books I've heard so much about.  Now I wish there was one near Detroit.

There's not a ton here, but I have been looking for Penumbra for God damned ever.  Now I just have to fit in enough time to play it, which will clearly never happen.

Finally I stopped at a thrift today and found these:

These things are in absolutely immaculate condition.  Not only are they complete, but they came with all of the random inserts and cards.  They were $4 a piece, but I really can't stress how perfect these games are.  Pac-Man is in the worst condition and it's easily in better condition than just about every other boxed Gameboy game I own.  Tetris was just the box and manual and they gave that to me for free.  Considering I already had a lose copy, that's extra awesome.

Some great Atari titles in there. Activision probably made the best games for the 2600.

@techie, hopefully I can get a cable for it, not really up to modding it. It might nit be in working order but I need to do more testing to see if it is.

@sauza, nice boxes

@Duke: Nice grab on the Study Hall. I've been meaning to pick up a copy myself. As far as the XBOX disc goes Shadow answered it better than I could have.

I love this review on the refresh disc from the Amazon website:

http://www.amazon.com/Xbo...eywords=xbox+refresh+disc

"i got the same disc and put it in my xbox. now i get the xbox needs service screen with no error code. i was not verry happy and neither was my husband. so just out of curiosity my husband put a game in and it loaded with no problem. my xbox was also modded, so i would not advise any one to use it on a modded xbox."

Sounds about right. The disc is used to "flash" the console to the specific version of the firmware on the disc. Considering that looks like the launch version (not seeing a version on it), you'd flash back to the original firmware version of the console - provided that your current flash would allow it. It was mainly used for repair facilities to restore your console back to factory defaults, and developers to update/restore their kits if they didn't have a PC handy.

Sauza - I've never played Force Commander (or seen it). Any good?
Mike - Keystone Kapers there is the International version. 5 languages for the price of one!
