@singlebanana: Thanks! The game is Pizza Pop! It does look like an S. I checked out Battle City after your pickup. Looks like a fun game. I'll add it to my want list.

Hey now,

The other item I got from Senseiman came today:

Hittorā no Fukkatsu: toppu shīkuretto, which tranlates to, Hitler's Revival: Top Secret. The Famicom game, that we got as, Bionic Commando.

Damn, imagine how much more awesome the game would have seemed if they'd kept that whole "Hitler's Revival" thing in there for the North American release. Freakin' uptight, puritanical parental groups just gotta go and ruin our fun...

All right, down to bid'ness:

- Sealed Best-Buy exclusive Swap Force Sprocket figure

- CIB Battlestar Galactica, $2.99

- Sealed Ty the Tasmanian Tiger (Greatest Hits), $1.99

- CosmoTank GB cart, $1.99

And, finally, I now have 64 Nintendo 64 games in my collection, thanks to my grabbing the following titles for $2.99 each:

- Bomberman 64
- BattleTanx
- Tetrisphere

Aaaand doubly finally, the one that put my N64 stack over-the-top was particularly special, as it's one of the most highly sought-after games in history, known for its wonderful blend of high-fidelity graphics and challenging-yet-fun gameplay. It has set standards in the electronic gaming industry that have yet to be surpassed. And best of all, it stars one of the most beloved figures in pop-culture history doing what he does best.

As you may have already guessed, I'm talking about none other than...

Feeling colorless with the Game Boy? Get a Game Gear! (That line is a play on an old US Advertisement for the Game Gear. Can't remember the exact line though.)

So this was obviously retail, as today was the release date. So to show my love for Nintendo and my favorite Nintendo character, I grabbed:

Very nice hand me down from a coworker here. To me, Kojima games belong on Sony systems, but I wasn't going to turn it away.

It seems like every game Gear lot I come across always comes with Sonic 1 and 2, Jurassic Park, Ecco, and The Lion King. Looks like your pick-up is no exception.

Neat, you got the Powerback rechargeable battery. That's an uncommon accessory, one among many, including the Gear Master, which allows you to play Master System games.

Speaking of picture quality: you might want to consider replacing the capacitors some time down the line. The early non-Majesco release Game Gears had cheap capacitors that failed rather quickly, leading to loss of picture quality. If you think your soldering skills are up to snuff, you can buy a Game Gear capacitor set, usually with illustrated installation instructions included, online.

Other than that... um, no small scores of my own to report at this time. Sorry to disappoint.

Dixie is in this game? OH, wow! so she is. No, sorry Zag. I was referring to the main man himself, Donkey Kong.

Hey, Mechblue here, you may remember me from the first post in this thread with the tower of playstation.  Grin

I decided it was a good time to return with a few select finds over the past few weeks.

Got an ok price on a decent condition boxed Raiden Trad and got a mint cleaning kit box (empty) thrown in for free.  Also same weekend picked up this mini Sonic pinball toy by TOMY for $20

I picked up this stuff today:

Two more games for my Atmosphere / Nightmare collection. This Nightmare game is in much better condition than the one I had and I didn't even know they made a kind of add on pack/expansion. $10 each.

A photo of my current collection

Came across a few other decent items at a good price, $4 for the Dukes of Hazard, $3 for paper mario,  $4 for ultimate stuntman, and store credit for Robopon.

Then happened up a yard / estate sale kind of late expecting everything to be sold only to find a small bin containing this:

System kind of works, my adapters are under powering it, so I'll be grabbing a proper power brick soon. Over all a good deal at $7.

Awesome - pay a decent amount for it, or market value?
