Just when I think I've picked up something pretty unusual, Zagnorch posts the same thing just before I do.   Thanks pal.

Promotional Nintendo VHS tapes

Someone getting the 'norch and I confused.

Whoops, sorry about that.  Ok, I'll the send negative vibes your way instead.

Nice Duke. I've barely not bought FDS games a couple of times.

And now for putting the "small" in small scores.....

Found these at that one thrift store I go to. They hardly charged me anything. We also got some books and a board game, the total was $3.46.

Dire Straits, not a game, but I thought I'd sneak it in here. I might actually own it already, but at those prices....

Virtual Villagers, I didn't know what this was but after watching this video it looks like a Zynga game in real life

The House of Games. Back in the day you could get these cd's full of shareware games. This one looks like a collection of really old games, DOS 2.1?

Lets take a closer look at the front....

$80 for a bunch of shareware? Explain that to me.

A couple more FDS games in from Japan. What an awesome system!

Kind of a small score.  They had various problems but they're all fixed now.  Paid $35 for all.  Nintendo World DS Lite is not the real deal, it's an eBay shell replacement.

Got a nice deal on a Shin Megami Tensei IV Collector's Edition on eBay last week. Good shape, wholly complete. $33 shipped.

Haha, I rested it on that to tilt it up so the screen was visible.  I might try to install a frontlight kit in it. Smiley

I had another big week (or two).  First off I got these from thrift stores over the past week, as well as a couple of games from gamestop:

That Secret of Evermore guide was cool to find.  Guides don't seem to pop up much around here, let alone one from the SNES.  Everything in both pictures averaged out to about $1-2 a piece.

Next, I got this lot from Craigslist for $30

Most of the games are pretty uninteresting, except for the Digimon Rumble Arena 2 which is the reason I bought it.  That game goes anywhere from $30-70 and is one of the most expensive regular edition games for the PS2.  The other games I didn't have, so they were a very nice bonus.

Finally, I got this:

I don't have a total I've paid for it yet.  It belonged to one of my friends that was moving out of his house and just didn't want it anymore.  It doesn't work right now and he said if it's an easy fix he would give it to me for $100.  If it's something major like a monitor he said I could have it for free.  It didn't come with the keys, so I just broke into the back this morning and started poking around.  I'm hoping it just needs a new power supply, but we'll see.

PLEASE PRETTY THAT CAB UP!
Take lots of pics too during the project. I'd like to see how things come along.

Id love to be able to have a Centipede and/or Asteroids cab one day. (And of course MK cabs...)

I actually was considering a kind of restoration journal, but truth be told I don't think there will be much for me to do to it.  Outside of the power issues it has and the rip on the side art in the picture, it's actually in really nice shape.  I might need to replace the track ball, but I won't know until I get the thing to power on.

I'm probably going to start snapping pictures anyways. It certainly can't hurt.
