Truth be told I did very little of the work. It went something like this:

Guy: "Everything's 10% off, so it'd be $180 if you want it."
Invader: "I'm just not sure I can do it today."
Guy: "If it'll help you out I could do 15%."
Invader: "I appreciate it, but I'm just not sure."
Guy: "Well, what would you pay for it?"
Invader: "Well, they go online for $140-150. I know you need to keep the lights on and all that, though. I'm just not sure."
Guy: "Okay, what about $120?"

I should probably go to this store more often.

That dude must have been in "They're going to shut my power off today if I don't make this sale" mode.

I picked up this piece of junk today.  Paid retail, but I'm okay with that.  I'm just happy it's finally in my possession.

Also, Christmas stuff!!

I'm inching closer to completing my LJN set.  The ever-so expensive and coveted LJN set.

And this cute lil Nintendo Power lot from my local Value Village for $3.99.

I haven't posted my finds in a while, so here's an image dump.

A thrift near me had their annual "Everything in the store is $1" sale.  Most of the stuff in the picture came from there.  Not Super Mario Sunshine though.  I've been looking for a new copy of that since my house was broken into for less then $30.  This one was $4 at a local thrift.

This is just a random collection of thrift finds and cheap stuff I found while Christmas shopping.  That Wappy Dog game was only $2.50 at a Big Lots and my love of games that come packed with random shit was fulfilled.  My wife got me Golden Sun for Christmas, so I returned the copy in the picture today.

Oh wow - I was obsessed with that Road to the Final Four game as a kid. I don't think I've seen that box in 20 years. Great finds all around!

Hey again guys! Feeling a ton better today...better enough that my Mom walks downstairs and says let's return the pants that don't fit and get you new ones and I will buy you and your brother some clearance video games.  Well my brother and my dad are both sick now so my mom and I still a little weary on what to eat decided to try BK so we went there then on to K-Mart.  Lately we haven't been really lucky there at all.  A while back we picked up couple of things but nothing special. Well today that kind of changed in my opinion.  My brother told me before we left to pick out whatever I wanted as he would be okay with whatever decision I made.  So I was walking around the Electronics department and couldn't find anything at first then I saw a little tote with some games in it and dug around under a few I found Dragon Quest IX.  It was on clearance for $15.00 but it gets better.  I went up front and dug through the huge bin they had up there full of Wii, Xbox 360 and other NextGen stuff.  SO here is the breakdown and their final prices that my mom paid.

Nintendo DS: --I already have the DQVI & DQIX Sealed so I am going to open these so I can play them!!
*Dragon Quest VI - Originally Priced at $34.99 to $14.97 and Member discount - $4.97!!
*Dragon Quest IX - Originally Priced at $34.99 to $14.97 and Member discount - $5.00!!
*Rune Factory 3 - Originally Priced at $19.99 to $14.99

Nintendo Wii: - Been wanting this game for a while now because I really like the soundtrack.
*Sonic and the Black Knight - Originally $19.99 down to $17.94

Playstation 3 - Been wanting to beef up the PS3 Collection so starting small.  If anyone wants to help with me building it aside from my NES wants. Let me know.
*Batman: Arkham Asklyum Game of the Year Edition - $19.99
*Worms Collection - Originally $14.99 down to $9.99

Pretty happy with the belated little Christmas Surprise from my Mom but she felt bad that we didn't get much this year and she felt bad that she hasn't bought us games in a while.  Another awesome thing is she will play most of these aside from Batman.

So here is the picture:

Met a buddy from NA that was in town today for lunch at the local GameXchange. These guys are far too kind to me. He goes into the back and brings out a few things, and this is what I settled on:

FWIW, I don't have Thumper or Whirlwind...

I think my official count was around 60 different packs, and I know Zag is outpacing that. I haven't opened mine up because I can still play them inside the packaging, and I haven't quite figured out how I want to display them yet... However, your setup there is pretty impressive. Have you thought about getting one of the Battle Arenas to display them?

No, that thought hadn't even crossed my mind. I doubt any of them would hold 31 anyway.

Anyway...the fact is, I was only able to get Dark Spyro because the 3DS Version was on clearance. Yeah, that's right. I wanted it bad enough to buy the whole damn package. XD

As I recall, there is also a Legendary Spyro, which I would also love to have. I also know that a new Spyro was recently released too. Smiley

Smalls Scores Part 3: The Skylanding

Yeah, we really should just start a new thread for Skylanders. Speaking of Skylanders, there's a new one being released in early January at GameStop. I'm thinking it's Springtime Trigger Happy.

Hey now,

Time for me to reveal my latest haul of vidya goodness, including a most... miraculous score.

Hint, hint...

Again, you win at the thrifts. A Wii U gamepad for $7?Huh?

This was most likely one of those instances where the thrift-- in this instance, the Milpitas Savers-- didn't quite know what it had. So, with the help of my filled and soon-to-expire discount stamp pass, I took advantage of their oversight. Fortunately, it wasn't one of those "no exchange" electronics, so I could've exchanged it for something else if it didn't work. Problem with that is, Milpitas is pretty out of the way for me. But like I said, it just needed a bit of cleaning, and it's good to go.

Speakin' of Wii U:

Oh good, you got the remastered DuckTales game for the only home console it should have been allowed to play on. The original played on a Nintendo platform, and the remaster should have been a Nintendo exclusive. Hate to break it to all the owners of the PS3 or 360 releases, but you possess phony bootleg knockoffs as far as I'm concerned. The cold, hard truth hurts sometimes, you know? But don't despair, because I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands and dispose of them in a proper manner, just like I do with all the Pokemon stuff I encounter. If you need to know where to send them, just PM me.  Wink

Speaking of Pokemon:

With my acquisition of Dark Spyro, I now own 31 Skylanders! Zagnorch be proud? Only time will tell. Smiley

Proud? I dunno 'bout that. I didn't see a mention at all of Skylanders Swap Force in your Games of the Year blog. Probably 'cuz you were too busy fawning over the latest freakin' Pokemon 3DS releases, instead. Tongue Still, 31 Skylanders figs is a pretty good start, but do you plan to catch 'em all? Hey, wait a minute...

Speaking of Skylanders-- whoah, that's three "speaking of" segues in a row-- I'm that much closer to completing my main-line Swap Force collection with Phantom Cynder and Countdown, as you can see below:

Also picked up:

- Konami TMNT 3: Shredder's Last Stand handheld

- CitiGeeks 3DS XL anti-glare screen cover kit

Then there's the notable non-vidya pick-ups I alluded to in my last post:

- HP 10B II (left) and 12C (right) business/financial calculators: as you can see, Nupoile is in total awe over these finds.

But if you think that's a big deal, wait 'til ya see what I found at the Goodwill near work while on lunch break:

- Miracle Piano set, $39.99: I was passing by the electronics shelf, when I noticed a keyboard sporting a gold-colored seal that looked suspiciously like Nintendo's Seal of Quality... which is exactly what I saw, obviously. The cheap side of me was concerned over the asking price, but another part of me figured the odds of finding this again with the guide, cartridge, and hookups for the same asking price or better were very remote, so I picked this up and lugged it over to the checkout counter. I was three minutes late clocking back in from lunch, but by golly it was worth it. Needless to say, I can't wait to fire this bad boy up and give it a whirl...

So it was a big weekend for Crabmaster and myself. I stopped in to hang out for a bit on Saturday and Sunday. I got a ton of stuff and he made a ton of money!   razz
So first off I will post the NES lot (2/2 from a previous SS post):

This lot puts me over the 150 mark to, I believe, 153. In my quest for all the NES baseball games, so far Bad News Baseball, is my favorite. Solar Jetman and SM2 are childhood faves.

The next batch of games included a box for Mickey Mousecapades, which I had been bugging Crabmaster about selling me since I saw the box in his personal collection. When I asked Crabmaster how much he was going to charge me, he handed me the box and said: "Merry Christmas!". Right away I noticed the box had weight to it, so with slightly furrowed brow, I remarked: "I don't need the game!". He replies back, "I know. Look inside." Inside was LOOM!!! So the NES box and Turbo-CD LOOM was a gift! Thanks again Crabby. A Class-act and great guy to know.

LAST but not least, I took advantage of a huge lot of Dreamcast stuff Crabby got for his store. He was nice enough to make sure I got my Black SS edition, so all my SEGA's match. Grin Of the games I got, Bangai-O is the best IMO. It was the reason I got a Dreamcast and it didn't disappoint. Its a refreshing take on the Shooter genre. Power Stone is a fun, cult-hit, beat-em-up that I enjoyed playing for the first time. MVsC2 and Elemental Gimmick Gear were also fun for first-time plays, and I look forward to taking EGG head on:

Its been one heck of a mad, video-game-collector's dash for me in the 4th quarter of 2013. My NES collection basically restarted in July of this year.
