Got a couple packages in the mail this last week. Russlyman helped me score a few more games for my TG16/Turbo CD collection

And Bil hooked me up with a sexy little SMS with a few games and scooped up these PS2 games for me. Fatal Frame II is still sealed

@GrayGhost: Skyrim is awesome. Say goodbye to a few months of your life.
@Crabby: SMS goodness. 'Bout time.
Things have been a little tighter lately, but I had a great seller locate an item I have been looking for for some time. If you are looking for VERY fairly priced imports, I can't recommend him enough:

Not quite "small", but another milestone accomplished at work:
I hope it was actually signed by him, and not one of those bullshit autopen deals. The stories I could tell you about how shady the sports memorabilia business was... and likely still is.

Holy crap, I'd almost forgotten about
Shufflepuck
! I used to play that on one of my middle school's Commodore PET computers during lunch, along with
H.E.R.O.
and
Zyzygy.
Sadly, I almost always lost at
Shufflepuck
; I'd usually build up a three-goal lead, only to see it evaporate in mere moments. But I always came back to try again... and again... AND AGAIN. A real glutton for punishment I was.
I have some scores stacked up that I'll try to reveal to you all tomorrow.
Nighters.

First, sorry about the pics. Imageshack has recently changed their service a bit and now it's not possible to get full size pics that don't redirect to their website. Anyways, I've been so busy with work I haven't had a chance to do this (11-13 hours a day, five days a week):
From Zagnorch:

A bunch of great stuff from Zagnorch's NOT-So-Secret Santa 2013 giveaway: An original Game Boy, a copy of Action Bass for the PSX, a bag of Fritos (!), and a cool little Lego-thing with a note inside...

... and this is the note.

The Game Boy is in pretty good shape; enough to play through the intro scene of Pokemon Gold with nary a squint. The best part is I've always wanted an original Game Boy. I had gotten an NES the same year this was released, so there was no way I could convince my parents to get one. Great system. I think at some point I'd like to do write-ups for both the Game Boy and Action Bass. Not the Fritos, though, as they disappeared almost immediately (natch).
Thanks so much, Zag. It's really cool that you continue to do this every year. Kind of a nice little touch that keeps RFG so nice and cozy.
This is a mixture of a trade and a few finds from the scrap bin at work:

Kind of hard to see, but the top two are a Gateway 2000 and an old Sager laptop. Both are 486 and functional, though each with it's own quirks. The Gateways backlight is busted and the Sager has a BIOS password on it. Still, they both work. The copy of Far Cry 2 is from a friend at work, which is wicked cool at this was one of my favorite titles from the past gaming generation.

Hey now!
Glad to see most of the NSSS recipients' stuff has arrived. Speaking of which: I finally mailed out the last couple NSSS claims, so that's that for this year.
All righty, time to show off a little:

CIB PS2 games, $1.95 each:
-
MDK 2
- TransFormers
- Spyro: A Hero's Tail
- Red Faction 2
- The Suffering
- Blood Omen II
, $0.95
-
Wall Street Kid
NES cart, $2.49
I also got some gift-type thangs from a couple fellow RF Gentlemen:

-
Blast Works
and
Killzone
are courtesy of Blklblskt, who was kind enough to include the following note with his generous gift:

-
Galaxy II
table top game, courtesy of Moonraker Fats. After I mentioned that I was looking to collect Epoch brand games, he generously offered to send this to me, just for the asking. Now my Epoch collection is at three whole pieces, and (maybe) growing. Thanks for the hookup, bud, I owe you a couple.

- 5 back issues of
PC Gamer
, $0.29 each
- Back issue of
Computer Gaming
, $0.29
- Sealed Prima
Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Collector Edition Strategy Guide: been tempted to open this up to help me with the game... but I'm having so much fun playing it, I'm actually more comfortable trying to find everything without assistance. Oh well, at least I have it in case I get really stuck...
- 2014 Club Nintendo desk calendar: marking my fourth straight year of attaining gold status... and my first platinum status.
-
Skylanders Giants
tin, $1.99: Best Buy finally marked these down to a price I was willing to pay.
Oh yeah, then there's this:

- Almost CIB Sega Dreamcast Sega Net set, $39.99: includes everything but a power cable. Otherwise, just about everything in this set was still bagged. I doubt the console itself was played more than a few times, if at all.
But wait, there's more:

- Pikachu N64 with controller, $29.99: The console needs a bit of cleanup, otherwise it works fine. the Pokemon controller, however, is another story, as the cable looks like it's been chewed on in a few places. Guess I'll hafta pull the guts out of a different controller, and place the Pokemon controller shell around the deal.
Then there's the big non-gaming pick-up: a really sweet Optimus Prime digital watch for $1.99!

My god, could it possibly get any better than this?

All Sega Post!
Glad to see that Crabby gets to experience the SMS. The 3D shutter glasses are a must.
Speaking of, here are my last couple of pick-ups from CDWorld. I've sold a Craigslist acquired Wii and SNES to a guy that works there, and I'm glad to call him a good friend now that we've made the gaming connection. He did inform the manager of the true value of the two Earthbound carts that they acquired before he was ready to sell them for $80 each, so he's going to have to prove something to get "buddy" status.

The MK guides may raise eyebrows from a certain member. He knows how to reach me.
Silpheed is FS/FT, since I already have a copy. I love this shmup! I had to grab it to spread the enjoyment. UPDATE: The Z-Man has spoken and will receive the goods.
Does anyone have the Sega Sports Pad Football for my controller?
In other news, I've connected with a couple of new retro collectors in the area and hope to post some sweets in the near future. Happy Holidays to all our members.

POP!!
Now here is what my brother got with his gift card to Game Vault from his boss for Christmas and we made a little stop at Good Bytes so he could pick up a few things. Me I am saving money for after Christmas and well bills have to be paid too. Also my RF Secret Santa Package arrived safe and sound and is now nesting under the tree.
GameVault had a buy 2 get 1 free. SO he got the following:
*Record of Agarest War 2 - PS3 - CIB - both LE items are sealed game is open (so its kind of like a GameStop "New" game) - $30.00
*The Testament of Sherlock Holmes - $15.00 (Scratch another Atlus Title off the list)
*Infamous 1 & 2 Sealed - NFR Pack In Versions - both were half off which both would be free.
*Star Wars X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter CIB even came with the Limited Edition Bonus Missions CIB inside which was a Best Buy Exclusive - $5.00
*Imperium Galatica - with manual - $5.00
Then Good Bytes:
*X-Files - PC CIB - $10.00 (I think he paid too much lol)
*Baseball Reference Microsoft Software - $1.99
*WOW Wrath of the Linch King - Sealed which is a gift to Engel762 - that I bought for him.

Club Nintendo came in. Jewel Case 2 discs 120 tracks. Much better than I expected. In fact I expected a disc with 5-10 songs in a cardboard sleeve.

Crap, 120 tracks? Like you I was expecting a 10 song disc so I picked up the posters instead.

Stopped by Game Quest on Friday, not expecting to buy anything major, and Crabby directs me to a box of NES games. Of the games I amassed into two piles, this was the pile I took home:

This puts me at 142. Crabby is a huge help in me amassing a great collection, and in return, I am a great help in paying his monthly rent on his store space!
Yesterday I went back down to Game Quest. Ended up with these three:

And a HUGE non-game score came in the mail. I pre-ordered this guy in February and Crabby has been listening to me impatiently whine about it for the past two months:

Thanks! Depending if supplies are available, I might order another Grayskull next week so I can have one opened! and I believe as I was going through the box at Crabby's store, I said something along the lines of: "You have some really nice gems in here!"

Hey everyone a package from the new guy on here Shadow (not our fearless leader Shadow K.). Bought some nice boxes and manuals from him for my collection. Some are upgrades and some are for my friend as I wouldn't feel right selling them after I bought them
SO here is the list and checking it twice and a picture to follow
I have been a good boy this year (especially with Nintendo NES Stuff)
*Crystal Mines - Has the German Translation manual, the Manual, and an upgraded box for my copy. (My Original Copy is going up in the FS/FT)
*Mappy Land - box & manual - now my cart only is CIB
*Mendel Palace - Just needed the manual - the box is going to Engel whether he has the game or not :-) (Merry Christmas Again Bill) including the manual I originally had..I mean it wasn't really bad I just wanted a better one :-)
*Solomon's Key - I liked everything but this one took the cake - it's great condition it has the manual and the MAP/Poster!!
Thanks again Shadow!!!! I can't wait to do more business with you in the future!!

OH and this just showed up as well ---i mentioned a while back my brother and i got some eBay GC from Grandma..so here is one of the packages that showed up
A Minty upgrade for my T&C Surf Designs.

I haven't had a chance to post anything here in quite some time since I have a buying restriction imposed by the Mrs. from November 1 - December 25. BUT on this, the last day of mail delivery prior to Christmas, Nintendo sent me this little ditty:

This is this year's Club Nintendo Elite status reward. This was my 4th such reward and I've already qualified for next years
I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who got theirs!

OK, now I feel a little better. I get to post my first Christmas gifts! These are all courtesy of my little brother. We are the only siblings to exchange gifts amongst ourselves so we do it at a different time and tonight was the best night to do it with our work schedules.
