Okay, so I've been busy/distracted with new job, girl, outdoors. I really should listen to the last few CollectorCasts. Been out of touch. But I have tried to at least follow the small scores. Congratulations to the new or repeat fathers, at least. That's awesome and breaking the mold of the stereotypical gamer is always enjoyable. No, we don't all live in our parent's basement or find it difficult to go out in public.
One thrift store stop recently:

Not much, but PC Big Box games for less than $2 makes me quiver.
Searching for 7800 games on eBay led to this nice shipment from the same seller. All are sealed, except Galaxian.

I'll call it work-related, as we brainstormed a way to use a Kinect to control our conference room system, but I finally grabbed one and some games on CL/Gamestop.

And a guy posted an ad on CL, selling PSPs and DS Lites for $25 each. He offered these three for $50 total, when I hooked him up with other interested customers. The PSP is the 1000 and has already been cracked with custom firmware.

My recent holiday sale pick-ups for self, thanks to WalMart and Fred Meyer:

Yes Duke, I also aim for the 8-Bit XMas NES carts by RetroUSB.com. As a handheld console nut, I've been watching the 3DS for a good while. Finally an XL that looks great, is limited edition, and isn't a crappy Pokemon version. The 2DS was a must because it comes in (a light) Crimson a.k.a. Cherry Red. Matches my truck and snowmachine. Turbo was a bargain bin grab for the lady's 4 year old, so no jokes.
And since folks have tossed comics into the scores thread, I must continue the conversation. One of my favorite series' when I was in high school was Crying Freeman. Japanese art, assassin that cries for his victims, elaborate stories. I was hooked and decided to revisit. Grabbed all issues from series' 1-3 for an awesome price. Now just need 4 and 5. I already have the animation DVDs.

I also found a copy of the live-action movie, which I plan to watch tomorrow night. But it stars Mark Dacascos, who I was introduced to in a favorite movie of mine, Only the Strong.
So that is my limited scores. Hope everyone is thus far enjoying the holidays. Go Ducks!
Welcome back Techie! Congrats on the new job! I just got promoted so I will hopefully have some extra cash to spend now! Also I think you bought those Atari Games from the same guy I bought my Sealed Atari 2600 Pete Rose..he's got some awesome stuff when I get some extra cash flow I plan on buying some more from him.

Some recent Holiday pickups, just a few bucks each, nothing major.

Snake Rattle & Roll is also a quality game.
Nice grab.

Jeez. I suppose you have Monster Squad as well. Well Im not too jealous as long as you dont own an Addams Family Pinball machine.
I do have Monster Squad. And yes, I use to own Addam's Family, but sold it several months ago.
What, we don't all own Monster Squad? What is wrong with this world? Eesh!

Well I don't own Monster Squad, but I now own Wonder Boy in Monster Land after another "Quest" down to Crabmasters store. And I managed to get some good ones off my Capcom NES subset list. Dino Crisis 2 was brought to Crabbys store from another one of his regulars, and he had talked about selling it to me, so I was happy that Crabby brokered that deal for me as I work odd shift worker hours.

Christmas and stuff equals less money for games. However despite the decrease in quantity I think I made up for it in quality.

The Final Fantasy IX is up for trade if anyone wants it. It's complete and in very good condition, minus the manual that is a little beat up.

The obligatory Xenoblade Chronicles from GameStop's black friday sale, GamerNick was kind enough to snag me a copy as I was working that morning.
A Link Between Worlds came from Amazon.

I enjoy Arctic Adventure. Kind of a simple, but fun game. Root Beer Tapper is a classic.

Tapper - still one of my favorite classics to this day.
I hope to one day have the privilege of owning that one, myself.
Until then, I'll hafta settle for:

- Japanese Sword Kirby plush, $1.49: Sadly, he's missing his sword... which would explain his less-than-cheerful expression. Looks like he'll be comin' right back at the guy who swiped his weaponry...
- CIB DS games:
-
Animal Crossing Wild World
, $5.99
-
Flash Focus
, $2.99
- CIB
BloodRayne 2
for PS2, $1.99
- Three subscriber-edition
Nintendo Power
back issues, $0.29 each
On the NON-vidya gaming front:

- Complete
Princess Ryan's Star Marines
combo strategy board games/card game, $5.99
All right, I gotta get back to packing and shipping out all these NSSS gifts, as well as craft a badge of office for one of the RFGen admins.

^Make sure to submit that as a variant for Metroid Prime Trilogy. It looks so odd without the Steelbook case. Great pick up, though!

Well I guess the threads been mostly quiet for a day or so, so I figured I would post my last score from Game Quest:

(Finally) got my Vita in the mail, which I bought from NewEgg (through eBay) on Black Friday, and a copy of Persona 4 Golden.
Little did I know that the model I got didn't come bundled with ANY sort of memory card, which means that I can't do much with the system itself. I did monkey around with the PS4 remote play, which works flawlessly. Pretty awesome.
Now, to see how long I can wait to find a good deal on Vita memory...
