I've been relying on auto correct WAY too much lately.  LOTS of typos all over the place.

It's not the result of you hittin' the bottle a little too much, is it?

Hey everyone.  My brother had a $50.00 gift card to Half Price Books and a few bucks to spend.  We started off by going to an indoor community garage sale...saw 0, Zilch, Nadda.  Then we went to an indoor flea market there was a guy that has a booth of a lot of video games...WAY OVER PRICED!!! He uses VGPC and that is always skewed to me and for one you don't charge full price, so my brother and I were out of that booth we saw some stuff but didn't buy anything there.  Then we went off to Thrift World picked up a PC game a few other games, then Half Price Books.

So here is the rundown:

*Thrift World
-Hardball III - Very CIB and very minty - $4.00
-NHL 06 - GameCube - $2.00
-Galactic Attack - Sega Saturn - CIB - $2.00

*Half Price Books -
-Street Fight Anniversary Edition - Complete - $7.00
-Operation Flashpoint: Red River - PC Sealed - $6.00
-Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 - Hardened Edition Guide - Sealed - $7.50
-Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition Collector's Edition Guide - $10.00
-Might & Magic VII - $2.00
-Pokemon Gold & Silver Nintendo Guide - $2.00 either this one or my other one will be up for grabs
-Riven - Pretty much new map is intact - $2.00
-Spyro The Dragon - $2.00
-Star Trek: The Next Generation A Final Unity - $2.00

Nice. That Fallout 3 guide is fairly valuable.

My city had another one of their semi-regular community yard sales this past Saturday, and I came out with a few things:

I like messing around with cheat devices for consoles, and am happy to finally have a Gameshark for my N64 to play with. Cheesy

Again feeding into the Playstation kick I've been on lately, I found a nice CIB copy of LEGO Batman.  I've never owned it before, but have played it before and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man Plug-N-Plays are in great shape, and were extremely cheap.  I love these things, especially since I have an almost 4-year-old running around that loves watching his uncles play video games, and these are so quick and easy to get into.

I used to have the same SNES turbo controller back when I was about 12 or 13, until it got chewed to bits by a puppy that got a hold of it.  Happy to have this replacement, and it works great.

Except for MAD, I've never been too much of a magazine collector, but the Game Player's was one I just couldn't pass up, especially for the price.  Nostalgia played a part as well, as I used to hang around a local 7-11 as a kid, thumbing through all of their comics and magazines, as well as wasting probably $500 worth of quarters in their Dig Dug machine.  Game Player's was one of the magazines I looked through the most, and remember actually going through this particular issue, wishing more and more that I had a Genesis, something that wouldn't happen until I was 16 and got a model 3 for Christmas. (My brother later "stole" it when he went off to the Marine Corps after he graduated high school in 2001.)

Finally, I had never even heard of this particular Tomytronic game, called Slimline Speedway, until I saw it on a table at the yard sale.  The box is so worn that it will only stay flat, but everything else is in good shape.  It's a bit lackluster as an actual game,  Undecided though you have to consider it is a LCD game from 1980.

Gameshark Cartridge For Nintendo 64  $2.00

LEGO Batman For Playstation 2  $1.00

Pac-Man And Ms. Pac-Man Plug-N-Plays By Jakks Pacific  $0.75 And $1.50, Respectively

High Frequency Brand Turbo Controller For Super Nintendo  $1.00

Game Player's Sega Genesis Strategy Guide First Issue  $0.50

Tomytronic Slimline Speedway LCD Game CIB  $1.00

Got a package from nupoile yesterday evening.

As you can see, Blades of Steel (how did I not have this?), the manual for Football! for O^2, and Mechwarrior 2 for DOS.  All awesome and all receive love and gaming in the house of bomba.

And now for the pièce de résistance

The fabled variation (and much sought after), Silent Service <Gold Cart>.  Gaze in wonder at it's delights, it's angles, and even its smell.  This is amazing.  I've never even seen on before, much less held it in my hand (gloved, of course).  Its not even available on ebay!

The sticker is in miraculous condition, all things considered.

The cart itself is in pristine condition, and not a rub, scrape, or scratch to be seen.  You know, I've heard of people who try to pass off old Zelda carts as Silent Service <Gold Cart>, but you can tell by the molding.  I mean, it looks hand painted, for goodness sake.  Zelda just looks cheap in comparison.  It is cheap in comparison.  I mean, Silent Service <Gold Cart> is a simulation game, not some stupid adventure.

I"ll be displaying Silent Service <Gold Cart> in my home for a couple of days (behind glass), then I'm locking it in a safety deposit box at an undisclosed bank.  Can't be to careful.  Something this rare you you have to take very seriously.

Not shown is a can of green chilis, because it is gone.  In my green chili, actually (the chilis, not the can), which is now in my stomach.

Many thanks, nupoile.  I don't know how, but someday I'll find a way to repay you for this gift.  For now, a plaque will be cast and placed along with the item, so that your generosity will be known for ages.

That reminds of a dream I once had about a blue Silent Service.
