Zagnorch, that looks like a Canadian Ni No Kuni. And I think I can explained the chewed case. Many of us still use sled dogs to get around so maybe someone's dog used it as a chew toy.

Since it was a variation that didn't appear in the database, I submitted it. I stated in the submission notes section that, since it was a Target-salvage item from one of the local stores, that it was likely meant for distribution in the U.S. as well as Canada. The submission was approved the next day, featuring the stars-and-stripes on the Region line.

i think the problem with big bang theory is it tends to be laughing AT nerds, not with them most of the time. they say something sciencey sounding and the audience laughs at the fact they said something intelligent sounding. they talk about D&D or things like that and the non-nerd characters on the show make a funny face like "WTF" and the audience laughs.
it's not really made for real nerds imo.

I don't know why, but I cannot stand that Big Bang Theory show. I guess I'm not nerd enough to get it? I love me my video games but I never played Magic the Gathering, played D & D or even enjoyed the Star Wars movies. I guess I lost some street cred.
The only people I know of that like Big Bang Theory aren't real nerds. They just don't understand.
I'm with you two. Stupid show to me, but then not everyone likes The Walking Dead like I do.

BBT is one of the worst shows there is. Wanta great nerd show that doesn't make you feel like a loser for being a geek. It Crowd. BBT wishes it could be half as good even.
Personally think that list is lacking some of the better moments but still shows it's funny.
Witty humor. Silly humor. Mocks everyone. and patronize you like BBT does.

THANK YOU. Its "nerd" humor and jokes are so tired and played out. How many times can you make Star Wars jokes, let alone make them funny in 2013?
And no offense to my fellow RfGen nerds, but no nerd has a woman as hot as Kaley Cuoco.

Super excited to share some of the recent goodies I've been picking up with you guys. Hopefully tonight I'll have a few minutes to snap some pictures and post them.
PS - I like Big Bang Theory and can't stand The IT Crowd. And by like I mean I've watched every single episode. I'm often in the mood for something stupid and it usually hits the spot.

+1 - the wife and I love it and watch it weekly. Not much on TV these days with writing that's quite as witty and even accurate as far as physics and science (yes, the show has people who review these things). Maybe it's because, according to this chart at least, I'm a geek.

I don't think that the intention of the show is to "make fun of anyone." It's just a fictional show with interesting characters. Sure, a lot of it is cliche, but that's television, it's made for the masses. Funny thing about stereotypes, is that they start for a reason. Hence, why I bought a RoboCop action figure for my gameroom yesterday. Eh, just embrace it....I'm a geek. There, it's out.
And BTW, my wife if pretty hot.

i embrace it too, but it really does feel more like BBT is looking at nerds from the perspective of everyone else, and laughing at the silly things we do and say.

When this become "The Big Bang Theory Discussion Thread"? It's all Hollywood, so the cool kids wrote a show about the uncool kids. So obviously it's a biased perspective.
I liked Banana's venn diagram. I wouldn't call myself a geek, but I love to learn.

To me, it's a comedy. Finding quirks funny is what comedy is all about. I don't think that any group is being specifically targeted. Like comedians you see on stage, they make fun of everyone. From the "dumb, actress, community college girl" to her loads of previous bozo, college jock boyfriends. If this was some form of targeting, Seinfeld wouldn't hailed as one of, if not THE, greatest sitcom of all times. What makes us all unique is what provides the comedy for this show. While I think the BBT is funny, I think it also does a good job of celebrating difference and the values of higher education. I think that people, the masses, are finding out that it's pretty cool to be a nerd/geek/dork/etc. Just my opinion, but of course, everyone is entitled to feel how they want.
Now back to some scores. ;P

Here is the post I was alluding to earlier. I grabbed waaaaaay more stuff than I'm going to post pictures for so here are just a small sampling of some of my favorites.
Got a new system to explore with my new Power Base Converter. Really excited to play try some of the 3D games with these glasses.

Got a few bumps to my Atlas collection. Crusaders of Centy being a big one and Persona being one of my most wanted ones. Also been curious about Go Go Hypergrind for a very long time so I can't wait to check it out.

Ignore all those crappy loose SNES RPGs I posted last time. I replaced most of them with beautiful CIB copies as well as a few new additions.

My Genesis collection got a big shot in the arm over the last week, here are a few highlights. And I was a bit sad to see a copy of King's Quest on the SMS pass through the store a little while ago so I had to grab this copy.

And lastly I got a few amazing Saturn games in my collection now and a Sega CD game that I've been wanting to try for years. Its going to be a blast getting some 10 player Saturn Bomberman going soon
