These games have been on my radar for a while so when I found them for $10 each I had to go for it.

Greetings from Terra,

Nice grab 'Norch. Apparently, that is also the super rare XXX-rated edition. I can tell by the carvings on the back. Tongue  I would pay to have seen your reaction when you came across this.
I imagine it was the same as mine when I nabbed Cheetahmen, which is to say that I spazzed out while no one was looking, went up to the register, paid cash, and then laughed maniacally.

You probably thought that at first I was all like ...

...and then I was all like , right?

In reality, however, I was surprisingly reserved when I discovered it. I think my eyes might have widened just a little before I saw the asking price and said to myself, that's a keeper, all right... even if it is all busted up.

Speaking of: I cleaned up the shell, but pretty much left the labels alone.

I had to do two cleanings of the contacts before it would play on my machine. When it finally started up, my ears were assaulted by the most embarrassingly corny video game intro theme song ever:

Hee heeee... the meteor's goo.

Oh, and Zag... holy crap. $1.99???

It was an oversight by the store's pricers, a total fluke. Streetlight usually goes by Amazon and eBay high bids when they price games, sometimes with an additional 10-20% markup on top of that. Due to their somewhat extortionate asking prices, I only shop there when I've built up a good chunk of junker games to trade.

My guess is that the pricing guy might have known the ClayFighter games in general weren't in high demand, and figured Sculptor's Cut was no exception. The filth, scratches and security stickers covering the cart likely reinforced his perception that this was just another junker game to be priced for a quick sale. Far be it for me to correct an error in my favor...

But let's not dwell on the past... the super-awesome-neato past. Let's focus on the here and now, as I show off my latest pickups:

- Prima Legened of Zelda: A Link to the Past / Four Swords GBA strategy guide, $3.99

- Japanese classic Sonic, Knuckles, and Metal Sonic plushes, $1.99 each: I dunno what it is, but the local Savers has been inundated with second-hand Sonic merch lately. And while I'm not really big on vidya tie-in tchochkes, these were were too interesting to pass up. I think these were crane-game prizes back in Japan or something.

Sonic still has the tag attached:

Then there's Metal Sonic impersonating a nun for some reason:

Oh, and Raze: it's not gonna happen, so don't even ask. These are way too awesome for the likes of you. Or, should I say... they're way past awesome?

I also picked up a loose cobalt blue DS lite from my fave Goodwill for $16.99. While it didn't have enough battery power to turn on at the store, I bought it anyway. I figured if it's got something wrong with it, I can swap out parts with the other less-than-fully-functional DS Lite I have tucked away. Well, I got it home, charged it up, turned it on, and sure enough:

OMG! Isn't it just terrible? The default language is Spanish!

on the upside: I have parts to fix my other DS Lite now.  Cheesy

That's it for now but I will have a little something for you to gawk at tomorrow. Well actually, it's a somewhat big something I bought from a friend. In the meantime, I'll leave you with a highly disturbing pic I took earlier tonight at the local Fry's:

That's a very sexist angle Nerf, appealing to women with pink guns.  For shame.

If nothing else the screens on those are easy to replace and cheap. I fixed one with a similar problem not too long ago.

Fortunately, I have another less-than-full-functional one I'll be harvesting for parts. I'll also swap the top half of the blue DS Lite with my red one, 'cuz I've always wanted a blue one.

BTW I'm gonna postpone disclosing my latest small score 'til tomorrow. I only got three hours sleep last night, and I'm turning in early tonight to catch up a bit.

Nighters.

Hey Everyone been a while! Hopefully this is the start of a good month especially when I get my extra money this month I will be getting some great stuff from a few great guys/gal on here as well.  But on Tuesday Engel and I went to GameStop to pick up our LE copies of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMix and then went to CD Tradepost and saw that the monthly sale was buy 2 get 1 free. SO since I didn't have any money at the time I was able to put some nice things on hold.  Well today I went to pay off my brothers GTA V Collector's edition and I picked up some cheap PSP games as they are Buy 2 get 1 free...needless to say when I get my extra money I will be picking up a couple more to boost my PSP collection as it is probably the second most tiny collection I have on the most recent stuff..first being PS3 and well I guess PS Vita is the worst.  SO anywho with out further ado here is the goods...

GameStop -
*Kingdom Hearts LE 1.5 HD ReMix (not pictured)
*Disgaea 2 - Dark Hero Days - CIB
*Ghost in The Shell: Stand Alone Complex - CIB

*Pac-Attack - Genesis - CB (anyone have a manual I can have>>>>!!!!)
*Super Battleship - CIB
*T2: The Arcade Game - CIB (Can't believe I didn't own this game geesh)
*ToeJam & Earl in Panic in Funkotron - CIB and very minty
*Dexter's Laboratory: Mandark's Lab - PS1 - Very Minty
*Ten Pen Alley - PS1  (I will have a Greatest hits for sale in my FS/FT thread)
*Portal Runner - PS2 - Very Minty

No. The black cart is uncommon at worst. The gray variant is one of those stupid ones to find.

Cassette tapes can be easily repaired. I'd have to see what the actual problem is, and if I could save the case at all.
