@ killerkobra

That is a pretty awesome post. All sorts of good stuff.

I think we mostly just like seeing stuff you've found. We've had everything from loose copies of old Madden football games to NWC carts and newborn children posted here, about as wide a range of scores as possible  Cheesy

I went to a few garage sales today and got nothing, then went to a thrift store and got something!

I had Pac-Attack noted as hard to find, plus it was the first non sports Genesis game I've seen in a while.  It looks like it goes for $5-10 on Ebay, but DP has it listed as an R6.  It seems to be one of those slightly hard to find games that no one really cares about.  Zathura was my 100th Xbox game.  Also, no PC games today.  That's a first in quite a while.

PS I am so fucking sick of the blurry ass pics coming off of my phone.

It's most likely due to an incompetent photographer.  Grin

Speaking of which: this kinda sucks.

Huh? What kinda sucks, you ask? Well, in my fervor over discovering that Wii U Disney InfINity starter set I showed off earlier, I missed a rather important detail:

Do you see it? You see it, right?

So I packed it up and headed back to the Goodwill I bought it from, hoping to find something of equivalent value to exchange for it. And boy, was I in luck: they had two InfINity sets for the XBox 360 for just five dollars more per! I checked the first one, which unfortunately was missing a vital component. The other one, however, was complete, and included the game disc that goes with the console! What a relief, let me tell you.

A few other things I discovered yesterday:

- Grab bag of five N64 carts, including South Park, WCW / nWo Revenge, Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, and LEGO Racers, $3.99

- Gears of War Limited Collector's Edition set, $5.99: The bottom rear part of the tin is dented in. I'm not too bummed about this, seeing as how it kinda fits the theme of Gears of War, you know? Hopefully, I'll find a slipcover one of these weeks...

- Modchips.com Game-Enhancer device for PlayStation, $1.99

- Nintendo 64 controller with rumble pak, $2.99: Been looking for another standard N64 controller. The rumble pak was a little bonus.

- Grab bag with Super Mario World SNES cart, two VTech V.Smil carts, mini LCD racing game, and a Linksys 2.4GHz Wrieless-B USB network adapter, $4.99: a rather random assortment to be sure.

Then there was the big pick-up at the local Savers earlier today: a big ol' grab bag of Game Gear accessories and games!

- CIB Powerback battery pack with AC adapter

- TV Tuner: not sure if I should keep this, seeing as how the U.S. doesn't broadcast analog TV signals anymore.

- AC Adapter

- Two CIB car adapters

- Three IR-7000 Communicator PDA-type thingies

- CIB Super Wide Gear magnifier

- Sealed games:
  -Zoop
  - Berenstain Bears Camping Adventure
  - Sonic 2

- CIB games:
  - Two of Tempo Jr.
  - Zoop
  - Virtua Fighter Animation

Loose carts:
  - Sonic 2
  - Jurassic park
  - Woody Pop
  - VR Troopers
  - Cheese Catastrophe with Speedy Gonzales

This lot set me back $100. When I saw it, I spent a few moments hemming and hawing over whether or not it was worth it. Even now, I'm not sure if I got a decent deal, hosed, or somewhere in between...  Huh

I believe the TV tuner does have an external antenna in jack, so you could still get TV into it if you used a converter. Also, you could pipe video from another console if you really wanted to.

Oh, okay, neat. Maybe I'll hold onto it after all.

I know some of the games are worth way more and some way less but I just wanted to beef up my SMS collection

Holy crap, that is an awesome SMS lot! I still need to grab most of those. Congrats!

Bil I have been eyeballing or of those genesis clones whenever I hit the store for my grandmother. I can't remember if that or the new Atari flash back is the one that has a variant.

I think it's the Atari, there's multiple versions of it(one even looks like a 7800 and has a few games from that mixed into the bunch)

If it is the atari there is a rite-aid and/or walgreens exclusive version.

Yes, you do. Just to say you watched cable TV or played an Xbox 360 on (through?) a game gear.   Grin

I wish Iowa was that good for pick-ups, I've even looted through Des Moines and not found any hauls anywhere near as good as what you turn up all the time XD.

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I posted anything but I'm still around! Still picking stuff up and lurking this thread. Just didn't have time to post anything with life and my youtube channel (shameless plug) taking up a lot of my time. But today being labor day I decided to spend the day building bookcases and rearranging my game room. What better way to help pass the time than a 5 and a half hour podcast?

I'm taking a break from building book cases to post this:

I found that in my local Value Village for $10. I figured you guys might get a kick out of it.. I'll put an NES on there one day!

Agreed. While GamerNick and I have made some pretty good finds on occasion in Iowa, we mostly have to resort to going next door to Nebraska, or Kansas in Nick's case.   I demand better hunting for games in Iowa!

Got a box full of carrying cases from a coworker today. Probably not going to keep them all so if you see something you like, PM me (The Zelda organizer and N64 system manual have been claimed). Better pics on request.

PM Sent.

The Zelda trapper thingy had these inside. Again, probably willing to part with them and I'm sure some people here want them, so hit me up. The manuals are in great condition:

PS I am so fucking sick of the blurry ass pics coming off of my phone. Whatever. It's Friday, it's a long weekend, PARTY TIME.
