Picked up most of this in one go while I was travelling down south in Kamloops. Also got 4 of those NES from Bil and one that my wife picked up locally with a pretty decent stack of games while I was gone. Not pictured is another Vectrex I also grabbed. I think that one might be for me Cheesy

Grape has been the only elusive N64 for me.  I've owned at least two of every other color, and have seen many overpriced Pikachu and Gold systems, but only one grape console that my brother bought from under me. grrr

What's the haps!

My best friend was looking out for me while garage-saling on Saturday, and grabbed 18 strategy guides on my behalf for five bucks:

Prima guides:

- Dark Cloud 2 with several sheets of game notes
- Dead Space
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
- Golden Sun & Golden Sun: The Lost Age
- Resident Evil Code: Veronica
w/  TRU-exclusive reference card
- SimCity 4
- Tomb Raider III
- Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation

BradyGames guides:

- .hack: Infection
- Final Fantasies X, X-2,
and XII
- GTA III
- MegaMan Battle Network 4: Red Sun & Blue Moon

Piggyback guides:

- Assassin's Creed II
- Resident Evil 5
hardcover
- Tomb Raider Underworld

And finally: Nintendo Power guide to Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Now, THAT'S looking out for a friend.

Sadly, my own pickings have been pretty slim. Found a CIB Ace Combat 6 360 game for $1.95. Normally I wouldn't pick this up, but it had a pretty good price point, and I have the option of flying the most badass military aircraft to terrorize the skyways. Naturally, i'm talkin' about...

... THE A-10 THUNDERBOLT, BITCHES!!!

Slow, low, ugly, tough as nails, and a big ol' gatling gun to take out heavy armor and turn enemy soldiers into motherfuckin' paint! HELL YEAH!!! evilhappy

SUCK ON MY BIG FAT CHAINGUN OF DEATH YA FUCKIN' TANK! EAT ME!!!

...

You see, what I'm trying to say is: I really dig the A-10. It's not a hard concept to grasp, is it?

*AHEM* The last two Skylanders Giants Sidekicks, Mini Jini and Barkley, arrived today.

Moving on to the obligatory non-vidya scores:

- HP 48G graphing calculator, $4.99: Thanks to the suggestion of a certain calculator enthusiast, I'm now branching out into the Hewlett-Packard line of graphing calcs. Coincidentally, I picked this up at a thrift in the same town where the HP empire was born.

You better recognize.

- Nerf N-Strike Rayven auto blaster with clip, $0.99: I know I've said that I've been trying to downsize my collection. But, come on, just $0.99? How could I possibly pass that up?

All right, that's it for now. Time to brush the snags and hit the hay.

Nighters...

Hey Everyone! As I was waiting for the third package from the UK I finally received it yesterday SO now I can post about the little things I got and plus another CIB NES Game I needed to scratch off my list.

Little story I love everything Big Trouble In Little China I have loved this movie every since I was very young.  When I found out there was a game a few years ago from an Easter Egg on my Two-Disc Special Edition DVD I was on the hunt to find a copy of the game.  Well the game as I found out was never released in the US especially on the C64 which was shocking!  As it was a planned release at one time if memory serves.  SO I scoured eBay at least once a year and gave up hope on finding them.  SO my brother decided eh what the heck and WELL he found all three releases!!! We passed up on some nice promotional material aka a poster.  BUT we got all three releases of the game cheap.

*Amstrad CPC Version
*Commodore 64 Version
*ZX Spectrum Version
All of which these games I Believe can be played on the C64?

Then off of Nintendo Age I bought from a member named Willis (great guy) I received Ghoul School CIB in really nice condition.  Odd enough I have been wanting this CIB for a long time just never found one at a good price or never had the money to get one lol. Here is some pictures:

One of my coworkers mentioned that her friend had posted games for sale on Facebook at $5 each. I got these (interestingly, despite how common they are, I've actually never played either of these games):

Nice grabs there. Both games are solid titles for the NES. Lots of hate for Ghosts n' Goblins due to its difficulty, but it's worth hanging in there an conquering.

Went to Target this morning while waiting for the car to get an oil change.  I went to see if they had Pikmin 3 in stock.  I didn't have the money to buy it, but I was curious if it had sold out or not.  In the Wii U section I see this.

ZombiU for $20, and of course the display case is empty.  So I was about to leave and then saw some more Wii U games on an endcap and there was another slot for ZombiU there, with one copy left.  I immediately got someone to unlock the case for me and got the last copy there.  This was on my I'll buy it eventually list, but if they are discounting it $40, then I might as well get it now!

Some stuff in the mail from Silver80 (yes, again.  he keeps finding stuff that amuses me).   and a little something from Ebay.

Space Invaders, Frogger, Pac-Man, Psycho Dream, and Super Puyo Puyo came from Silver, the ToeJam & Earl manual came from ebay.

The A-10, a plane built around a gun which fires depleted uranium 30mm bullets at 70 rounds per second.

The HP48G, a calculator built with gold and awesomeness.

You are living the dream my friend, living the dream.

Seriously though, did you know the gun on the A-10 is so powerful it can make the plane fly backwards while being fired? And just so you know, if the interface of those TI calculators you're used to is like using Windows, the HP interface is like using DOS. Might take some getting used to.

And who is this "calculator enthusiast?"   Tongue
