Ok you win. I'm the Antichrist!

YES! Yet another RF Gentleman has adopted one of my edited-- errr, what did RetroRage call them again? Oh yes, emotatars!

Who's freakin' next?!

BTW I think I'm really into making these emotatars.

I guess that makes me an... emotatard.

Yeah.

That's not funny pal.  I have emotatarded people in my family.  Try to be a little more sensitive.

There have been some pretty good finds on here lately, there was an arcade machine or two back there(!), I would comment more but I've been busy and the site has been slow   Undecided

- TI-82 calc, $2.49: yet another component of the "big idea" I'm cookin' up...
What in the world? People around here think used TI-eightysomethings are worth a tiny bit less than the new price. The last two I saw, one was over $40 and the other over $60. I know it's just an 82 you got there but still, you have a history of buying them for almost nothing.

- Loose Namco 5-in-1 TV Games plug-&-play thingy, $1.99
I have one of those, or one that looks the same anyways. It actually gets some good use around here.

For once, I didn't buy this one with resale in mind. It will serve another purpose which will be revealed early next year. Which is just as well, since it doesn't work anyway. Also, it has a relatively low resale value compared to the 83 on up.

As for the "buying them for almost nothing" deal: part if it has to do with them being required equipment for many university and J.C. courses, so there's almost a glut of them in my region after class gets out for the semester. They're also not uncommon at local garage sales, with most people not asking more than $5.00 one loose. Another part is that many of the local thrifts don't really know the value of the things, even at the second-hand level, so they tend to put a lowball figure on 'em. Which is unusual, as they tend to be pretty "smart" about the pricing of stuff like that. You know, just low enough to be considered a decent deal, but too high for me to get a decent profit on resale.

BTW I just found out about the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition C, which features a color display! Me likey...

A few years before I got seriously into collecting console games, I collected P&Ps... thought I waited 'till most of 'em hit clearance. This was back when I went to GameStop to buy used DVDs. Was that really over a decade ago that I did that? Oh, where did the time go?

I have most of a hundred items to put up, but there is laziness and procrastination going on here.

Haven't really got much in a while, picked up some laserdiscs today:

Jurassic Park
True Lies
Robocop
Patriot Games
Close Encounters of the Third Kind

got em all for about 2 bucks a piece. They had more so maybe I will check more out tomorrow.

The same place I got these had a Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt Game only for sale and they were asking 18.00 for it, not sure what they are smoking.

Not really much in the way of gaming stuff lately, slowing down because I am running out of storage space.

I think I am going to have to update my sale thread to thin out doubles and stuff I just am not interested in collecting anymore. Keep an eye out for updates to my sale thread

Also wanted to share another sweet painting I finished.

I kinda forgot were I left off posting things on here. This is kinda a catch-up post of sorts.

Found these at a thrift store. Only interesting because the one is a promotion for Cherry Coke, notice the website on the bottom corner?

Added another Wing Commander book to the collection. I need to actually read them sometime....

I like collecting different consoles. A little while ago I realized I would end up getting a VTech system, you might remember I found a handheld one a little while ago. VTech is known for having little kids games but it also has interchangeable carts and controllers. It is another console to put in the collection.

Even with how cheap I am when it comes to collecting, I didn't really want to spend money on a system I wasn't going to play. Lucky for me, the "telling-other-people,-'I-collect-old-video-game-stuff'" tactic worked. A family we know with older kids gave this to me. It works out too 'cause we have been watching a 3 year old a lot lately.

If you can look past the colors, the design of the system is pretty good. I didn't think it was until I had this setup in real life. The controllers have cords which must be about 10 feet long. The controllers actually transform so the joystick can either be to the right or left of the buttons, that's pretty cool. The systems are able to be run off either batteries or a cord. And they kinda look cool. Whoever designed this must have been a fan of consoles of old.

You might have noticed they even have a storage compartment on top, just like your Colecovision but with a lid!

Now I have somewhere to put my loose Intellivision games!

I'm not sure if I count this as console 32 and 33 or if they are just variations and my collection is only up to 32 consoles? Did they have the same library of games or does the Smile Motion have a different set?

Console #31 will be shown off when it, and the other ton of stuff I got at PRGE, gets cleaned and I manage to get a blog up.
