Hey now,

- Blue GBA SP, $3.59

That's pretty crazy cheap....

I seldom come across a GBA SP at any local Goodwill for less than $9; they're consistently in the $12-$20 range. It was likely priced by one of the new trainees that they recently hired, who didn't know what he had on his hands. I'd have been more than happy to trade it for that Kirby's Return to Dream Land if I hadn't already resold it.  Wink

Speaking of handheld Nintendo hardware:

- Black DS lite with Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga card, Civilization Revolution, BrainAge, New Super Mario Bros., The Sims 2, and Impossible Mission, $49.99

- CIB Silent Hill 3 and Japanese Final Fantasy X-2, $3.99 each

- CIB Midway Arcade Origins, $2.99

- 3 back issues of Official U.S. PlayStation Magazine, $0.49 each

- Guinness Book 2013 Gamer's Edition: the gap in my 2010-14 run has been filled.

- Sealed M.A.G.S.: Music-Activated-Game System, $3.99: easily the most interesting find of the day's thrift pickups.

The game looks a bit like Tempest... which makes the first song I'm gonna play through it a no-brainer:

You'll see what I mean when it gets to the 4:40 mark.

Image dump time!

First off, I finally decided it was time to get a PS3, because I enjoy being 6 years late to things.  It's the 12gb slim model.  I would have rather had a backwards compatible model, but it was only $100 so I won't complain.

And since I'm an obsessed collector, I had to go out and get some games for it.  Luckily Gamestop was having a 3 games for $10 sale so I went a bit nuts:

The only one I didn't get from the Gamestop sale was The Last Of Us.  That was $15 from Gamefly.  And since I was already there buying 3 for 10 PS3 games, of course I had to get some 360 games as well:

Swat 4 is for the PC and that was only $2, so I figured what the hell.

Next up are my Amazon pickups from the past few weeks:

I mostly got a bunch of shelf filler, but Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII and the Japanese Mini Famicom Metroid GBA game are the highlights.  Romance was right around $5 and the Japanese GBA game was $4

And now on to all the thrift stuff I've found recently.  First up, cheap stuff in big boxes:

Random handheld games and Kids system games.  Bart vs. the Juggernaut is the best here:

and all of the random PC games I've picked up:

Some random things:

And all of the random other games I've picked up:

Finally, I stopped by Disc Replay and picked this stuff up.  My daughter begged me to buy her a Kirby Amiibo and she will not let it leave her sight, hence the empty box.  The guy at the counter gave me all of those sleeves for free.  I know most people could do without them, but I love having them on my games, so that was really cool of him to do.

@gamernick: Nice choice of games for the PS4. Order 1886 looks pretty interesting.

here are my pickups that I got throughout the week.

Got the other half of my stuff from the Donation Raffle.  The Ocarina is pretty sweet, will need to practice so I can use it during my D&D campaign, since I am playing a Bard. The shirt is pretty cool, its too bad neither I or my wife can wear it. I mostly chose that lot for Shadowrun and the Ocarina. figured I can figure out if someone wants to trade stuff for the shirts.

Picked up a Disc Only copy of Pikmin for 7.00. Got the N64 sports titles for .99 each, I have a hard time passing up any game related stuff that is priced that low. Pretty happy about the Wayne Gretzky Hockey. I used to dominate at this game when I first had it years ago.  Played it again, must say I am a little rusty but still have some of my skills.

Got the PSOne White with the controller for 13.00. keep seeing these around town at the thrifts this is the first one I have found that was priced this low. So I picked it up.

Got the Skyward Sword Guide for .85 cents.

Got a big one off my TG16 list today. A friend of mine has been teasing me with this for quite a while now as he held out for a trade. Finally got an extra copy of Mega Man 5 which he wanted so we did a little trade this afternoon.
