Nice grabs on the FDS games. Meikyuu Jin Dababa is a pretty decent game. You should look into a player copy of it at some point.

I won a free game from Khan Games!

I know a guy who has only one hand, and something like that would be perfect for him.  That is quite impressive and perfect for the physically disabled.  Cool find.

Just...think of it like that and keep it clean.

If podcasts didn't deceive me, the L5 and other one handed controllers were designed to facilitate drawing maps for the dedicated RPG player.  It's cool if it would help your friend.  I will stress that the one I bought has the 15-pin Famicom plug at the end, not an NES plug, and I don't know if an NES version exists.  However, there is a Super Famicom iteration of this controller that should work on the Super Nintendo.

Those are my player copies.  I'm not precious about opening new games if I get a low enough price.  Plus, the sticker "sealing" my Dababa disk popped off on its own.  You just can't trust those 25+ year old stickers.

Congrats on winning Larry LLFLL.  Definitely interested in picking that up when I can pull myself away from actual old games.

Score one today was a very nice CIB copy of Dr. Mario.  My roommate's brother had a Wii that died on him and I gave him a unit-only that I scored from Savers for $6.99 awhile back.  I was not expecting a gift back in return but this is what I got.
Spoiler (hover to show)

Score two today was a magazine rack that showed up in a thrift store for $14.99.  I took it apart and put a nice new black coat of paint on it and it now holds a combination of mine and my roommate's strategy guide and NP collections.

Hey now!

I decided to make a blog out of today's not-so-small scores:

I've been far off the radar this week, mostly due to work.  But there was a couple of other reasons.  The negotiation for this monster 3DO lot from Craigslist (3 consoles/60 games) was one of them.  And now I have the three main 3DO consoles in the FZ-1, FZ-10, and Goldstar.

Some extras may be FS/FT, but it's going to take some time to test, log, and determine what.  I can say right now that one of the FZ-10s is available.

Barnes and Noble let me know that they finally received their shipment of Brett Weiss's new book.  For truly RETRO gamers that collect and nostalgize in the original gaming consoles, this is a must read.

some stuff i added over the last few weeks:

The Dead Space 2 and BF 3 were bought in Denmark-vacation...why not shop a DICE-game in Scandinavia Smiley
The Master System Converter shall do his job onto the Hyperkin Retron 5...if it will ever be shipped here in Europe - waiting, waiting, waiting!

The two controllers i got over Ebay from Japan, because you won't find them here, and the other 6-buttons controller for 3DO are too expensive around here.

The "Guy Game" and the "Crackdown"s are also shipped from US /UK. Let's quiz some clothes off Smiley
And I am happy to try out the Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball for Pal N64...sent right from Down Under.

What's that Super Famicom controller? I've never seen that one.

The Capcom Pad Soldier is pretty awesome though. Great 6-button controller once you get used to it.

yes, the best Street Fighter Game for 3DO is longing for the 6-Button.

The SNES-Controller (which is waiting already in the hardware submitting-rotation Wink ) is  from NTT Data and was used for a japanese horse-betting-sim (what else in japan) and you could do some Internet-stuff  and fast raising and lowering numbers on the wages with it. at least this is what i have read on several websites.

Not sure if I have the hardcover for Shadows of the Empire, but it's an awesome book/game. It's come in conversation 3 times this week, so I guess I should break out my N64 and play it this weekend. Maybe do a 100% run.

Well my ill-advised spending spree from last week got even worse this week with no signs of letting up. Sauza's handy Amazon Warehouse Deals link didn't help, but it seems that now some dipshit has listed a bunch of stuff at one penny so it's a little harder to see what the actual prices are.

From this pic I got Incredible Crisis, Tropico 4, and Mass Effect 3 CE (now I just need the first game's CE, yeah right) from Amazon Warehouse Deals. Prototype 2 is from Leaptrade and Star Fox and Scribblenauts were purchased from a coworker's kid.

In this pic Rune Factory is from AWD, Splatterhouse was from a trade with a coworker, DK BB was purchased from another coworker, Beatmania from ebay (now I can use my turntable, yay!), and Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournament from Leaptrade.

This last pic is dedicated to my man Zagnorch, who had a rough week to say the least. May the power of Master Eon heal your heal and your soul. I got Zook off AWD and my wife picked up the rest for me at Five Below. I haven't cared about my Skylanders collection since Giants kind of left me disappointed, but now I'm getting reeled right back in.
