Today I went to my $2 Goodwill and they had lots of pc games.  Someone must have dumped their collection.   Lots of Sims 2 and expansions.  But I did find a cib copy of Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall. Also in there was Bust a Groove for Playstation.  I doubt I will play that one but it's another one for the collection.

TIL RetroRage and I appear to have the same carpet.

I haven't had a chance to go out and look for games in a while, but the last couple of days have been pretty good to me.

A handful of SNES games of varying quality and interesting-ness. I'm kinda stoked about the Power Rangers game...these were all very cheap.

Two more NES games off the list, which puts me up to 619. Not bad! Also, 1970's basketball. I've heard this is actually pretty fun.

I'm a huge YDKJ fan, so for a couple of bucks I was thrilled to get that. I've also heard awesome things about Ranger X. There's a bit of label damage from an old rental sticker on the cartridge, but nothing I can't live with.

Awesome stuff from slackur!  I wrote a blog post about it, but realized I forgot to show it off in the threads.

Hillsfar for NES is on my Revival list, but I've decided to substitute the C64.  Not that much of a difference, though the C64 does have better music.  The rest of the games just came with the bundle (paid about .50 USD for the lot).  What is miraculous is that there isn't a stinker in the stack (every disk loaded).  What is even more miraculous is that one of my disk drives is magically working!  Yay!

Although neither of these are on my list, the Saga series is one of my favorites (the PS2 remake is my fav of the series) and Blueprint is one of my favorite games of all time.  After dedicating more than fifteen minutes of my time to this, I realized that I need to also track down the C64 version of this game.

Today looking through some Goodwills and thrift stores in Gainesville I came across these guys.  The Force Unleashed was $2, Silent Hill was a buck.  I almost missed Silent Hill too, because that's not a Playstation case it's in.  It's the soundtrack to Disney's Aladin.  So now I'm looking to buy the case.  I found the Wayne Gretzky's 3D Hockey and 3D Hockey '98.  I played them both and vastly prefer the first 3D Hockey.  There didn't seem to be any penalties in the first one.  I was the Tampa Bay Lightning, and beat the St. Louis Blues 6-4.

Silent Hill for a buck?  That's a great day no matter what else happens.  Also, I'm now checking every single jewel case on the shelf of every thrift store in the area (so time consuming but so much hope!).

I'm sorry for flooding the thread with my n64 stuff,  but it's just been finding its way to me these past couple weeks.  Got this lot from a friend for $45.  I. Couldn't. Say. No.   I need help.

These I didn't have yet

And the are duplicates.

I have a new go to spot that carries pretty much everything from Atari VCS to PS4. Prices are excellent as you'll see in this first picture.

Ok, yes. Resident Evil 2. $4. The Wii games pushed the overall price a bit higher. I'm starting to expand my NES Tengen set now as well, Vindicators is the latest grab and its label is in excellent shape. Hard Drivin' is CIB. All the disc games have the manual too so they're complete. Super Paper Mario even has a Club Nintendo insert still inside it, I'll see if its unused or not. Total here was $35.

After I was done there I went down the street a bit further to a booth style antique store that my buddy said he was finding a bunch of back issues and hard to find comics for dirt cheap. This guy is huge into comics and even has an Action Comics 1 that I've seen with my own eyes. Anyway, I went on the off chance of finding some video game stuff there, what I ended up finding was a much higher quality selection of vinyls than I've ever seen at a Goodwill or thrift store. I grabbed 2 for now and spent less than $5. Jungle Book was $1 and Strikes was $3.50.

Hey now,

My Saturday garage-saling results were highly disappointing:

- CIB Aero the Acro-Bat for Genesis, $2.00

- Ms. Pac-Man Plug-&-Play TV Games unit, $2.00

- Space War cart with box, $2.00: No manual, I'm afraid. The box is in okay shape, but the cart is in excellent cosmetic condition. And speaking of the box: it still has its original price tag:

I'll bet half of you have never even heard of a "Woolworth's."

- Timex Sinclair 1000 computer unit, $3.00: I managed to bargain this down from $5.00. Who even knows if it works, seeing as how it had no hookups or RAM module.

- Two TI BA-II Plus financial calculators, $6.50 for both: Although they are cosmetically different, they are indeed the same model.

Fortunately, my St. Patty's thrifting yielded a couple CIB NES games for $3.99 each:

The Adventure of Rocky & Bullwinkle & Friends

Star Trek 25th Anniversary: This one's fairly easy to beat.

Then there's today's big scores, starting with the following grab that set me back a hair over $50:

- Onyx and Cobalt Blue GBA SPs with charger and carry case

- Purple GBC with instruction booklet, carry case, Pelican light and power grip accessories

- GBA carts:

  - The Cheetah Girls
  - Disney's Cars
  - Disney Princess
  - Hey Arnold! The Movie
  - I Spy Challenger!
  - Monster Trucks
  - Road Rash Jailbreak
  - Tak: The Great Juju Challenge
  - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Double Pack
  - Tony Hawk's Underground 2
  - Yu-Yu Hakusho Spirit Detective

- GB/GBC carts with manuals:

  - Frogger
  - Klax
  - NASCAR Challenge
  - Pac-Man Special Color Edition
  - The PowerPuff Girls: Bad Mojo Jojo
  - Tetris DX

Finishing things up are a couple old-school CIB PC gems for $5.99 each:

Ultima VII: The Black Gate

Ultima VII Part II: Serpent Isle

Serpent Isle came with a little something told a tale of its origin:

It's true, kids: we used to buy our PC games from actual brick-and-mortar stores back in the day. Mind-blowing, isn't it?
