Thanks. I'm nearing that 100 game Famicom mark, so I'll probably end up grabbing a few things today. He had a nice copy of Gradius (already have Gradius II) that I may grab as well.

My buddy at the game store picked up a nice haul of import stuff. I came away with these at a good price: Samurai Pizza Cats - $8, Salamander - $8, and Legend of Zelda (post disc system release) - $14. Passed up on Joy Mecha Fight and a few other games I'd like to have, but I'll probably go back in tomorrow anyway:

$8 for Salamander? !@#!@#!@#!%#$%^#$
Samurai Pizza Cats brings back memories man.

Grabbed that Joy Mecha Fight today, along with the following titles for the Famicom: Joust, Gradius, and Layla. Played a little of Layla before I bought it, seems like a great, but difficult platformer. Duke, I know you own it, maybe you can comment further.

Picked up some unusual things up at the thrifts. Got Donkey Konga bongo drum set in box. Also got six Japanese Playstation games. Don't see those in the thrifts everyday.

Common Japanese games, but interesting to see the PocketStation one there. Did you check to see if they had a PocketStation?

LOVE that Nightshade box. One of my favorite NES covers.

edit: Also amazed to see a 3DO secrets book of that size. Seems...weird, for some reason.

My mailbox and front stoop were loaded today as the result of a mini shopping spree I went on last week:

First some random stuff:

- Wipeout 3 from Goozex

- Spider-Man Edge of Time from BJs (marked down to $3.60)

- SMT Digital Devil Saga from Amazon (Think ATLUS!)

Up Next is an order from eStarland. I've never ordered from them before but wanted to take advantage of two things: They were having a B2G1 on used games with free shipping and they had the first Ar Tonelico game in stock. I've been watching this game get more and more scarce lately so I wanted to grab it. This is the limited edition too, with a nice slipcase and artbook. As you can see I also grabbed Ar Tonelico II and Hoshigami. I'm having a little bit of buyer's remorse with Hoshigami as no one has anything nice to say about it. I should have shopped around a little more but I was at work when I made the order. Everything about eStarland was great except their prices. Even with the B2G1 I pretty much paid almost what each of these is actually worth. It's like the sale wiped out the markup basically. But hey, now I don't have to worry about finding Ar Tonelico I and II.

Lastly I got a package from my friend Silver80. I addition to Ape Escape 2 for my beloved PS2 he sent me the first and only Japanese GameBoy game I'll probably ever have, and it's a game I've wanted for a while. It's the same game as US but now I have this novel import version with its cool little box. Thanks Silver80!

BJ's. It's a warehouse club store like Costco or Sam's Club.
