Picked up these today at the flea market.

Link to the Past: $5 (He had it for $10 but it was so beat up I talked him down.  The pic is after the restore.  I had to replace the back of the cart since the original was cracked and full of crayon.  After I Brasso'ed the contacts it runs like a champ.  I love getting these old forgotten games and restoring them.

Mega Man Soccer: $7.50
Clay Fighters 2: $7.50 (overpaid but I really liked this game as a kid.)

Man, everyone has some great scores!   I know my local Target has a deal for Wii U games that is buy 2 get 1 free.  I believe they have had this deal going on since the Wii U was released.  Hey Singlebanana, do you still need Chip and Dale 2?

Looking for CIB NES games..........even Silent Service.
I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

Found a old version SNES (the one where the game slot locks when you turn it on) for 5 bucks. Not yellowed but no cords. Really good shape.

Hey now from Terra,

Did a little garage-saling and more than a little thrifting this day. The garage sales were meh, but the thrifting was pretty good.

- PDP AfterGlow wired XBox 360 controller: with some luck, I just might have an actual machine to hook this up to one of these weeks. I'll finally have a proper 7th-gen home console before it becomes obsolete!

- PDP AfterGlow Wii Nunchuk

- Sega Genesis carts, $1.99 each:

  - Flicky

  - Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure

  - Earthworm Jim

  - Wiz 'n' Liz

  - Rocket Knight Adventures

  - Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures

  - Ghostbusters

  - Greendog the beached Surfer Dude

- Sealed Vampire Rain for 360, $1.99

- Grab bag with Tiger handheld Bo Jackson Football / Baseball, Snoopy Tennis Game & Watch, and 20 Q thingy, $2.99

- Prima Diablo Battle.net & Advanced Strategies and Sonic Advance DX guides, $0.99 each

- CIB XBox Game Manager combo game disk & memory card cabinet and power strip, $3.99: when I first saw this, for a moment I thought I was looking at an XBox One. Of course, that was just silly.

Oh, and I can't forget the obligatory non-gaming pickups:

- 2 small Nerf guns, $0.25: can't quite beat that price. Now I have a few bonuses for this year's Not-So-Secret Santa recipients...

- TI-73 Explorer graphing calculator, $4.99: I wasn't even aware of the existence of the TI-70 line until I found this.

- Dallas Live 1985 Winter Show Techni-Rule 401, $0.75: Looks like I've picked up a new hobby collecting rulers from various tech expos and trade shows. I dug the vertical angle measuring capabilities of this one.

All right, back to your regularly scheduled small scores.

Two plug and play game thingies. $1 each. I don't always pick these up but how can you pass on one shaped like the Millennium Falcon?

The NES Hyper Stick was $2, I don't know much about it. I've seen it in pictures before. Seems to be in pretty good shape.

That Pac Man plug and play has four games on it. It is actually pretty well constructed. The joystick moves really nice. They put the effort in to make the front look like an arcade machine, which I like.

Everything together in this picture was less than $10

Command & Conquer games I always pick up for someday when I have a bunch of computers all LANed together.

Half Life I've never actually played, not for lack of trying. I've gotten a couple copies of this game but never got them to work, either the disk was too scratched or the install code was wrong or missing. This disc, and all the ones I got today actually, looks fantastic. For the first time, I picked up a bunch of used disc games and they all are scuff and scratch free   Cheesy

That one game is called, "AMERICA: The Game" Seriously. How do you not pick that up?

There are all these pictures of CIB NES games in the small scores thread. I don't know were you guys get these outside of eBay. I just almost never see them. And never for only $2.

The Gin Blossoms CD is a memory of the 90's. The album went 4x Platinum and songs off it were a radio staple for some time. According to wiki, the lead guitarist and songwriter, wrote this album, did the guitar tracks, got fired from the band and sadly committed suicide. The album became a hit, the band fizzled out, made a album here and there toured a bit here and there but never made it big again.

I don't normally put up pics of all the books we buy, they're kinda like video games if you don't know, kinda text heavy. Lots of reading in the cut scenes......

This game I remember from back in the day when you could go to Circuit City, Egghead, Radio Shack and any number of other computer stores which had isles and isles of computer games and accessories. That's an experience which is pretty much gone now  Sad    This game I remember seeing and wanting. I was really into flight sims and this looked great. The copy here is actually sealed. The outside slip cover comes off and the box inside is sealed up. I took the picture so you can see the system requirements. I have a computer which this will run great on, 233Mhz, MMX, the whole nine yards  Smiley

It was $2 at Goodwill.

By my count, I've been at 29 different consoles for a little while now. I knew the milestone #30 would be something special. Honestly, the RDI Halcyon and consolized Neo Geo MVS were ones I was hoping for. We went to a garage sale today and I found #30. The console and five games for $5. What did it turn out to be?

The best part is, none of the games on that bad boy are based on the prequels.

BTW you failed to comment on a certain non-gaming pick-up I posted. You feeling okay, guy?

Actually I was hoping you would bring it up as I wanted to comment. I would have too but I wore my fingers to nubs typing out my big long story of buying a bunch of junk that other people had tossed out.

What in the world is a Ti-70 series calculator? It's like some bizarre Chinese knock off. I bet the top half of those buttons don't even do anything, just there for looks.

I want one now.

That little nerf gun is one of the two I own. We can have a mini nerf gun duel if one of us offends the others honor.

I'll let others comment on how cool the xbox disc thing is. I won't say a thing about it.

I didn't go game hunting this week (my usual partner in crime is sick and most of my budget went towards Metal Storm earlier this week). I might still go to a flea market later today, just in case...

That being said, while picking up some fishing gear at the store, I did spot something that will help my collection look better. There was a big sale (ie, reg. $4.99, on sale for $1.50) on clear plastic totes of various sizes. The ones I found are "shoe boxes", which happen to be exactly the height of NES games and exactly the width of a Sega clam shell. I'd been looking for a cheap way to store my games without having to make holes in my walls (I rent and plan to move in the next year). I already had a large plastic shelving unit. This, while not gorgeous, will look a lot better than some cardboard boxes on my living room floor. The completely clear boxes also make it very easy to see the games without needing to take off the lids. I realize it's not the "sexiest" of pick-ups, but I have to say, I was pretty excited.

I also plugged in my Odyssey 2 for the first time since I purchased it over a year ago and I was floored by how well it ran (all my vintage stuff works, but it usually puts up a bit of a fuss). I guess this isn't necessarily the spot to do so, but if you guys have any recommendations for games, I'd love to hear them. Right now, I only have the  Speedway/Spin-out/Cryptologic and Sub Chase/Armored Encounter carts.

Aside: I just donated to the site and I encourage anybody else who hasn't to do so. It's relatively painless and I'm sure will go a long way.

Round 2!!
Nothing to phenomonal.. Couple saturn replacement cases that are available for trade.  A crappy copy of Ninja Gaiden, 2 copies of Super Nova, a wrestling game and a couple PS2 games. Everything a buck a piece.. I really wish I had some money, I would have made an offer for the whole lot and started my store.

The back story of this whole find.. LOL.  This "family" referred to by some of the locals as the "toxic avengers" used to run a little shop selling movies, games, car audio, and TONS of bowls and bongs and glass "smoking" accessories.  Their games were always priced straight across so u could get a good deal.  Recently they got busted for selling "K2".. He decided to downsize to pay attorney costs.  It wasn't quite the "craigslist meth sellers" discussed on the collectorcast, but quite the experience.  The entire time I'm shopping the lady running the garage sale describes in detail each of her kids and their psychological issues.  You had to have been there!!
