Pikmin 2 came from Fleach, and is my first Canadian GameCube game!
The Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario 3D Land were all cheap from Amazon.

I finally caved and bought the PlayStation Move Racing Wheel after being unable to find it for months at BestBuy.  Like the other PSMove accessories, it is built well.  It works great in Gran Turismo 5, and is much better than using the controller.  It has paddle shifters, as well as the regular shoulder buttons from the DualShock3 on the back.

It can also be used for motorcycle/dirtbikes by turning the handles outward.  The right grip operates as the throttle in this case.

All in all, I find it works great for GT5, so I won't be using the controller anymore.  I ended up buying it for around $35 used on Amazon, only to find out my GameStop had it for $30 new.  Oh well.   Undecided

You try brass polish on those contacts?

i tried polish and rubbing alcohol, the contacts look perfectly fine to me now but it still displays exactly the same as before i cleaned it. it must be either something to do with whatever caused that stain on the board, or the suspicious looking wire traces.

I would still use brass cleaner to get those pins spotless. Alcohol is good, but it doesn't get off all that buildup. I've used alcohol with poor results and followed with brass cleaner and another few rounds of alcohol to get the cleaner off and got my cart(s) working great.  For a cart of that magnitude, it's worth a shot IMO. Either way, you'll have a great cleaner for the pins on your other games.  I would also advise trying it in another N64 just in case, since it was working prior to being sent...... you never know. Seriously, we can get this cart working. If anything, between Duke and I, we'll get it working for you as long as nothing is seriously damaged with the board.

If it doesnt work try a hammer on it. Film it when you do it and post it on YouTube. It will be nice to see the replies on here.

i already sent it back to highwind, thanks for the offers anyway! also i had tried 3 other n64 games on the system i was trying SC on, they all worked perfectly on the first try so it can't be the system. i had cleaned the contacts almost the same way you described banana but with no luck. the front label was a little worse than i expected, some fading that i hadn't noticed in the pictures highwind sent (my bad for not noticing), so i feel like i'd be happier in general to just wait and get a better condition copy.

I know this is from quite a few pages back but this Hannah Montana PSP-3001 is hot.  I've been keeping an out specifically for one myself lately.  It's funny that the stuff I thought was dumb and disregarded when new is now the stuff I'm trying to find. :p

Nick gave me a heads up a couple days ago that HPB had a Final Fantasy Anthology strategy guide in stock, and I was sitting around bored this afternoon so I went to go pick it up.  I stopped at Gamers while I was near there, found a PS1 Spyro Collector's Edition set there, snatched it up and out the door I went.

Got back home and shortly after I get a knock at the door from my friendly neighborhood postal worker, and they've got my package from Japan, I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow, pleasant surprise.

In the box we have;
Famicom, and Super Mario Bros, Super Mario USA, Super Mario Bros 3.
Famicom Disk System, and Super Mario Bros 2, Zelda no Densetsu: The Hyrule Fantasy (The Legend of Zelda), Kaettekita Mario Bros, and Metroid.

They included a couple little gifts along with the order, one being a Mario Kart 7 Donkey Kong figure and a handbill/flyer for Zelda no Densetsu: The Hyrule Fantasy.

It's as if they read my mind and knew I'm a bit of a Zelda enthusiast.

Wow, that is a really beautiful Famicom and FDS lot. It looks like they really took care of you. Great people to do business with.

Sorry to hear about the SC, techwizard. I'm wondering if it just had a bad trace on the board. Could be fixed by soldering in a jumper wire if so, but I can understand wanting a nice copy.

The guys at Arcade Gear rock, they're a bit more expensive than others, but they make up for it in customer service and quality!  Now to hook this bad boy up and see if I can win me some playing carts... err, I may be a bit late for that...

I'm pretty sure that offer has expired. Wink

You're right about Arcade Gear, can't recommend them enough. They understand the quality that collectors desire.

On a side note, those boxed games are what they classify as "average" condition, when they asked me what I was looking for.  I'm curious as to what they consider good/mint.  Perhaps still sealed and delivered on the bare chest of a geisha girl or something.

We may need to test this. My wife wouldn't object. Wink
