Aaaaand Fleach knocks it out of the park. Then techwizard follows suit.

Not as crazy, but still a great game, Bust-a-move. Nice Fokakis79.

Crabby must have robbed a bank or something.  How else could he afford a nearly complete PS2 NHL game set?

You will notice that there are 2 different covers for NHL 2004 (Joe Sakic and Dany Heatley).  The US only got one cover athlete per release but Canada got a few.  Time to make a list and start submitting variants...

I know I'm the only one who cares about these games and it's a little weird just how much I care about them.  I really do love looking back on the old hockey games and seeing how they have changed.  I like the different marketing gimmicks used to sell them and I love playing random ones just for a laugh or a genuinely good game of hockey.

Can't thank you enough, Crabby.

I love hockey games so you are not alone on that one.  Haven't played too many newer ones, I think the last hockey game I played was on Dreamcast can't remember which one.  My favorite hockey game is a tie between Blades of Steel and Wayne Gretsky Hockey for the N64. So I am a little bit jealous of this collection you got going on here.

Turns out Sakic was on the cover for the Finnish version as well.
EDIT: And Germany... Germany had both.

Weird. Me to. I even have two of the four, like you and it's even the same two. I'm not really trying to get the other two this year necessarily, I've just thought it would be a fun subset to complete for awhile now.

You got the two NES boxes tucked in there too, right?

Just trying to show that us young gun Canadian can get some cool games. Wink I'd like to publicly thank you for Ico. Really excited for that one.

Seems the best scores come after a new episode of the Collectorcast is released.

Bil, is that Curtis Joseph on the NHL Face Off cover? My favourite Leafs goalie.

Shadow- I always forget about Europe

Crabby- Yes, I got those too, just wanted to give hockey its own post

Fleach- Yup, good old #31.  Joseph was great but I have a soft spot for Belfour even if he was past his prime when he joined the Leafs.

Sweet hockey game layout.  I'm jealous of the alternate covers.
