I haven't found the gold mine yet, and haven't done much searching, but you have to build a wall of games one brick at a time.
First up, the only thrift store stop since my last post.

Two unopened copies of Suse Linux 9.2. Great OS. Some jerkie on here has me noticing Transformers stuff now. If I could remember who... The PS2 RF Adapter was just so strange to find solo that I had to grab it.
Most of my tax return is going to home improvement, but I had my mind set on one thing.

It is seriously cool, BUT TomMO had better not abandon the project. We need more games, a handheld carrying case, and they should release individual controllers for two player. The handheld is really impressive. I love the clicky stick and that it is very wide and easy to play. Some handhelds wear my pinkies out holding them up. And to finally have some of the best Neo Geo games in my collection for a fraction of the retail is awesome. I remind everyone that the AES came out when I was 15 and EVERYONE that was into game playing dreamed of one. I saw one in a game store just once back then and have not seen one since. All the haters on this system were likely very young or not even born when the original came out. You don't count as a reviewer.
I'm going to jump around a bit.

Imagine in the first pic above, included in the 360 lot to the left, there was also a CIB Pokemon Black and a COD Black Ops. Okay, bought that lot on CL for $40. I took it to a buddy's and traded the two games missing for a CIB (with the cloth map) Baldur's Gate II Collector's Edition and the weird robot game below it. I also grabbed the King's Quest Collection from said hero for a future trade.
And to the NES games above - I stopped at my favorite game store and was hit with a shocker. The entire staff had been let go. My buddies were outta there for something I dare not speculate. But I picked up the NES games and had a great conversation with the regional manager. I let him know that I was a retro collector and the previous guys knew me well. He and I, and another new employee, enjoyed some interesting conversation to the point that he locked the store up and we chatted for another 30+ mins. Great guy, and young for what I would expect. The interesting, and somewhat humorous, mention that he made about nickel arcades and pay-to-play stations reminded me of Crabby's venture. Take note, Buddy! I was very concerned when I was told of the change, but I look forward to chatting with the new guys.
Okay, a lot of talk for a scores board, so I'll make this a quick one. Book store have half off sale. I grab these.

I finally have a 'Win at Nintendo Games' book, and from a local find. And the top right corner of its cover says it all: "Includes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!" The DOOM programming guide really peaked my interest. I may try to design my own levels in the future.

Nice stuff there, Techie. I was of similar age when the Neo Geo AES was big, and you're right, everyone drooled over the thought of owning one. Nice paper as well, and welcome to the Jeff Rovin fan club!

Had I known back then that, years later, I would be sitting on a conference call (on mute) playing Last Resort on a handheld at my desk, I might have pissed myself. And yes Duke, it's great to hear your perspective on the cast, considering we may be considered the old fools for our pre-NES era upbringing.

Wow techie jealous of the kings quest collection I'd love to find that around here sometime. Also liking the NEO Geo X and the Final Fanasy 8 Guide I still need that one.

N64- curious as to what it is missing, It has the console controller (purple) cords and system manual but theres alot of space left in that box. Any help would be appreciated just PM me.
Playstation - Complete except for the crash bandicoot and the manual.
Super scope - complete except for the manual.
GBA gameshark
If anyone has any of these manuals let me know we could work out a deal.

it only has the purple controller? it would need a purple and grey. otherwise it's probably just standard n64 stuff, so an A/V cable, AC Adapter, Console, and paperwork. styrofoam supports too of course. i don't own those 2 controller bundles so i'm not sure what they look like inside, but they do come in long boxes for the second controller, maybe there's just a lot of wasted space.

The empty space in the N64 box as techie mentioned is where the purple controller should have gone. I ahve the same bundle.
The styro should have had the system, gray controller and other standard cables and paper work.
Then the purple controller was packaged in a strange triangle shaped piece of cardboard stuffed into the end. It fit perfect when you opened it but it was a HUGE pain to put it back when i retired my N64.

Got a phone call today from my local game store owner who knows I've been looking for Skies of Arcadia forever so he was kind enough to give me first dibs on it
Also picked up some 32X boxes with manuals, Dreamcast Collection (360), Myst (3DS) and a VMU.
