I picked up a copy of Stunt Kids at my local Gamer's for $20, as well as a few game boy games I needed.

Odd though, the clerk commented on my game, and said that he only needed 20 more NES titles for a complete set. That was cool, although I hate the idea of a collector working at the store because he would probably pick up anything I need as soon as it comes in.

Anyway, he then tells me he owns a game that only 5 exist,  - the Nintendo World Championship. I kind of chuckle to myself because obviously this guy is just trying to show off or something and he doesn't even have the facts right. Then I told him about how I picked up Bubble Bobble Part 2 cheap and he says "Oh yeah, that ones worth about 40 bucks right?"

LOL.

Which Gamers location, and which clerk?  Just so I know who to avoid.  flamethrower

It was gamers on 84th that's where they had stunt kids.

In case SirPsycho checks out my images...
Hey Graham - I finally found a Terry Prachett novel! It only took me travelling 2 hours to a library sale to find one!

Most of the strategy guides were $0.10-$0.25, and I'll likely have a couple dupes (I know I already picked up 2 of the same Secret Codes for Handhelds). If anyone's interested, I'll get a running list of duplicates guides.

I think I found it, Small Gods? I don't have that one yet.

Yep, Small Gods.

I was stomping around in Wempster's part of the woods today, but had a short schedule there in Gainesville because we had an agenda - meet up with my roommate's parents to move some furniture, and attend the bi-annual Friends of the Library sale that I've heard so much about. Book porn incoming...

Yeah, that's definitely book porn.  Dragon Warrior Nintendo Power guide, Stephen King novels, and SUSE 9.0 manual?  Sweet!

I was wondering when someone was going to point out the Dragon Warrior NP guide. Grin

There's also a book in there that only a few folks around here would be old enough to have read when it was published, let alone appreciate it: All About Pinball, in the 3rd breakdown photo, originally published in 1977. THE HISTORY OF PINBALL IN IT ISN'T OLD ENOUGH FOR SOLID STATE MACHINES. HOLY CRAP.  speechless

There's also some manga mixed in there, Arcade Mania (published by Bashcraft of Kotaku fame), some Laserdiscs (for when I actually get a player), and my usual glut of Forgotten Realms/Blizzard/Star Wars/Dragonlance (and other series written by Weis & Hickman).

Went to the yearly Cowlitz Gamers for kids show. Bought some stuff, but put most of it in my blog.

Here are a couple teaser pictures though:

This didn't come from the show exactly, but the timing was good

Hit the thrifts today without any luck. Fortunately the flea market had some goodies.

I also want to sincerely thank Razor for offering to send me the Dreamcast he recently picked up. What a great guy!

You don't ever hear a lot of accolades for Battle of Olympus, but I think it's a solid game. Good finds.

I found a copy of FF7 that was missing the first disk and manual, but I went ahead and grabbed it for $1 because it was one of the misprints and I thought that was kinda cool.

Wow, whoever sent you that must be a total asshole.

If I ever meet him, I'll be sure to smack him about like the bitch-ass he is.

Shadow, the Friends of the Library is always a great place to go.  I wish I had known you would have been in town, maybe we could have met up at the sale.  That is a lot of book porn, very impressive.

I'll be in town again - my roommate's parents live up there, and my roommates like to shop at Trader Joe's whenever they're up. They tend to travel up there every 6 weeks, so if I tag along, I'll see if I can't stop by a couple of the local shops and meet up with you sometime.

And yet MORE goodies from the mailbox.   Skies of Arcadia came from Silver80, and .hack//Quarantine came from a friend in Texas that knew I've been looking for it for ages to complete the set, and he found it cheap and mailed it up to me!
