So about a month ago I did a trade with someone from a few cities over and he told me about a hole in the wall rental store that sold older games, the problem was it was an hour from him in the opposite direction of me and he was about 1.5 hours away from me. So today I had some free time so I made the 3 hour trip and boy I'm happy I did!

Don't pay to much attention to the price tags, he basically gave me half off.

Small being the operative word.... Damn that's a tiny N64.  Either that or you have massive books and that handheld is made for giants.

That is an amazing haul understatement! I'm pretty jealous of that Power Strike. If you ever decide to part with it, be sure to check with me first.

Lego City was $49 at Wal-Mart and Super Mario All Stars CIB was $2.00 from the pawn shop.

Looking for CIB NES games..........even Silent Service.
I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

Hey now!

My Goodwill grabs over the last couple days:

- CIB Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and SaGa Frontier II, $2.49 each: I bought the FF titles to upgrade the condition of my present copies.

- Skylanders adventure case, $3.99: A Target-salvage item, originally $29.99, and in excellent condition no less.

- CIB Nerf Jr. PC game, $3.49: If only I had a PC that's primitive enough for me to give this a whirl...

- CIB Dreamcast fishing controller, $14.99: my second oddball Dreamcast peripheral pick up in a week. Maybe NoiseRedux will think I'm cool now...

- Nintendo Power GBA Donkey Kong Country strat guide, $1.99

'Late

EDITED to clarify where I picked up my latest haul.

Took a trip to "the biggest flea market in west Texas" today but it was like 80% permanent vendors and way overpriced.  I did make out with .hack infection, Hunter, and Soul Nomad for $3 each.  Then randomly later today, a buddy of mine from work called and said he had some NES stuff that was his ex-wife's and that I could have it if I wanted it.  And I did...dude wouldn't take a cent either.  When I told him that some of these are pretty valuable he told me that the more they're worth the better he feels that his ex doesn't have them.  Oh divorce...

I gotta ask...I see the words "Target salvage" tossed around a lot...what exactly does that even mean? I've never walked into my local Targets and seen New Super Mario Bros U for $8 for a Skylanders bag for $4

Sorry, I should've clarified the deal.

Target-salvage refers to off-condition and close-out goods that Target donates to Goodwill. Goodwill then sells them for 50% or more off of their original retail price.

Thanks to there being a lot of Targets and Goodwills where I live, I encounter quite a bit of Target-salvage goods, especially during the holiday shopping season.

Aww man...I only have one Goodwill in my area (well two, but ones about 90 minutes away)
I don't find too much there either. Usually thrift stores are my best bet. Though I have seen people here getting stuff at pawn shops so maybe I try those.

I've given up on pawn shops in my area, mainly 'cuz they never seem to have much of anything outside of jewelry and power tools.

There are, however, a few consignment shops I've yet to look at...
