I wish I had the time and strength to tell the story and post more pictures but I am very tired and have to work early tomorrow.  So for now, I'll just post the one picture.

One of these just popped up locally on Craigslist. $1,000. Seems steep, even given it's great condition:

A few small things this week:
Wild Arms 3 and Punisher NES from the flea market ($2 and $4). The metroid maze is a burger king toy. Also keeping the MGS streak alive, MGS PC complete for $1:

And of course, grabbed one of these this morning, more detail in the specific thread:

So, in light of the Pikachu 3DS XL release, I checked about 6 Target stores in the hopes of finding of for the 159.99 price tag, no luck, sold out.  So I checked with a couple Toys R Us stores for the slightly higher priced ones, same story, sold out.  So...   I decided screw it, and bought a less flashy Standard Blue/Black 3DS XL.

While it isn't the bright yellow monstrosity I had set out to buy this morning, I finally got a 3DS XL at a price less than most places around here sell them USED, so I'm OK with that.  I'll be just fine without the Pika-nipples.  Picked up LoZ: OoT 3D and Fire Emblem: Awakening with it.

engel762,

you probably know this but if you get the new Luigi or Pokemon mystery dungeon game and register your new 3dsxl and the game into club nintendo, you get a digital download of one of the following:
-mario 3d land
-starfox
-3ds layton, don't know the full title
-art acadamy
-one other, freaky forms i think

Luigi is being reviewed really well (and is only $35 at Kmart this week) and mario 3d land is great. Just an FYI. Enjoy your new 3ds

I'll probably be picking up the new Luigi game this friday, I found about the freebies when I was entering stuff at Club Nintendo.  Ocarina of Time 3D was what first made me want a 3DS, Fire Emblem tempted me even more, and the sale price of the 3DS XL at Target finally pushed me over the edge.

Another quicky, came in the mail today from Izret via his GameGavel auctions.  It arrived at my house doused in some... I dunno what.  Some sample product exploded next to it I imagine...  It smelled spring fresh and was soaking wet.  Thankfully the bubble liner of the envelope saved it from any damage

I had to go to Topeka to give a quarterly presentation, so what did I do when I was done? I went thrifting and to the local stores of course! Thrifts were a bust though but I couldn't make it to them all on this trip. Sad

Grabs of today, a lot of longboxes that I found at CD Tradepost and Vintage Stock, this CD Tradepost had buy 1 get one 50% off. The SNES stuff was at another CD Tradepost that had buy 2 get 1 free if priced less than $10. Out of This World is CIB and was priced as a loose cart. I love taking advantage of pricing glitches.

I'm calling this month Longbox Madness!

For some reason, I love the Versus Books Perfect Guides, even though they were lamely published by Gamepro.

I turned down a Digimon World 1 guide at Vintage Stock, it was beat to hell and I'm pretty sure I have a minty one at my parent's house that needs to be dug out of one of my magazine racks.

Love the long boxes.  Playstation games would be massively more collectable if they stuck to them.

Had a few nice pick ups today.

Namco Guncon light gun controller - $5
Zayzoo: My Alien Classmate (V-Tech) for the kiddos - $1.10
8 track cassette - Led Zeppelin: Houses of the Holy (pink cassette) - $.40

Also came across ANOTHER Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV today with remote. Passed at $25, since the screen was pretty scratched up.........

And oh yeah............my Jurassic Park pinball machine made it in from Florida this Sunday.  Been having a blast with it.  About time for some pinball blog updates and maybe an addition to my countdown.

I work for CDT, the company doesn't price CIB games any differently that they do cart only. All stores should be running the B1G1 50% off right now on all games, not just $10 & under.
