Yeah, there are 6 or 7 pawn shops in my small town, and only this one buys/sales retro games.  All the other pawn shops say they can't make a profit off of older games.  I told them that was too bad, because I sure would buy retro games from them.

We've got 5 or so in our town, and a few more in the next city over, but it seems like only two of them price things decently.  Buuuut.. they don't seem to get a whole lot in lately either.

Zagnorch does send out the best gifts. I think I need to clear up a couple of things. Admittedly, here in the NW, the sky has been known to be gray at times, but it is not perpetually so. First, at night it is dark, which is not gray. Sometimes it is raining hard enough you can't tell what color the sky is. And even just the other day there was blue in the sky, I mean, there were gray clouds too and it was raining, but there were blue bits.

While the NW does have a bit of notoriety for football teams which, uh, experiment, with color *ahem* The Ducks *ahem* I'm not so sure that pink football belongs here. Lets think about this, Zag is the one who sent it, is admittedly a 49ers fan, a San Francisco 49ers fan. Get it? Pink? San Francisco? Eh? Eh?

So today I went into a thrift in a very sketchy neighborhood.  It seems like those thrifts are always stocked, for semi obvious reasons.  I picked up these:

Nothing too special, but the best part of the pick up was the thrift itself.  That place was smelled so strongly of weed I actually thought someone was smoking a joint next to me.  It was overpowering.  And it's not like it was a tiny little store, this was a pretty big Salvation Army store and somehow every square inch of that place smelled like Cheech and Chongs van from Up In Smoke.  How the hell does that happen?  I can't walk within a mile and a half of a store with a cigarette, but that place is clam baking like they are on their way to a Grateful Dead concert.

Oh yeah, at another thrift I picked up strategy guides for Might and Magic VI and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Platinum pack for the PC.  I already threw those into my game room and I'm too lazy to get those up for a picture.

Because for some reason no one ever gets angry when some place smells like weed.  People get upset about cigarette smoke, but with pot....hey man it's cool.  It's a pleasant smell

Goodies from the mail!  From our very own Wildbil52, DuckTales 2 with manual!  And from Japan via japangamestock.com, Joy Mecha Fight, and Konami Wai Wai World.

Nice!  I still need the manual and box for my Ducktales 2. That is really the only loose NES cart that I am not selling.

Great choices Engel. The controls in Wai Wai World are a little off, but it still makes for a great game. I still don't get why Joy Mecha Fight never came over here.

Just a couple things I grabbed over the last week. A local video store is going out of business, so all the Genesis games were just $10 total. The other two came from the pawn shop.
