Picked this up over the weekend.

Gran Turismo 2 and Fighter Maker were 5 bucks apiece, not a great deal, but it was great to find this stuff in the wilds.
The thrift store close by had a bunch of copies of Gran Turismo 2 for some reason, so I grabbed the only black label copy they had.

Haunted House was 2 bucks

and After Burner was 99 cents, I do try and not buy unboxed Sega games anymore, but the price was right so I picked it up.

Lemmie guess....Value Village Tukwila?

You got it! Did you go by there on Sunday?

I was there Saturday.  I picked up Final Fantasy 9 from there for 5 bucks.  it's just a mile away from my house so I'm there a couple times a week.  on top of that I'm a truck driver for Northwest center so I get to walk around in the production room and see stuff before it's priced out  Smiley

Nice pick up, that is the only PSOne Final Fantasy I have never played.

I always wondered what the policy is on workers at these places, picking through things before they go out.

the employees are supposed to let stuff sit on the sales floor for 2 days before they can buy it.  that particular store is pretty good about following the rules, but other Value Villages in the area have sneaky employees so a lot of the good stuff never hits the floor.

Picked up a SegaCD today, paired with a Genesis model 2.  Paid 30 for the pair, cheapest I've seen one by far, locally at least.
It came with the Model 1 extension attached which struck me as a bit odd at first, until I saw the stuff in the bag of cables/controllers that came with it.

In the bag was a red lettered controller, a manual for Genesis 1, RF unit for Gen1, RF unit for Gen2, AC Adaptors for the SegaCD and the Gen2.  So I assume it was at one time hooked up to a Genesis model 1, but someone swapped them out later on.

I also snagged up a copy of Sonic Heroes (PS2), Golden Axe (Genesis), and a loose copy of Darkwing Duck (NES).

Got it home, cleaned it up some.  Hooked it up... and it works.   I was half expecting it to not read discs, after hearing some about how they died easily.  Consider me pleased with my pickups for the day.

Picked up a couple things today...the NES games are from understatement so thanks for those!  The GBA games are both obvious pirates, but still kinda cool.  The TMNT game is just TMNT II for the NES Smiley Check out the back of its box, which is just text & pics from a Gamespot review of another TMNT game!  The pics even still have the Gamespot logo on them nono

UPC belongs to Mario Golf GBA. Apparently, this is common for this particular pirate - they rip Gamespot images for logos, use that same UPC, and that's even an excerpt from Gamespot's Battle Nexus 2 review, where the art is taken from:

Quote
While the story aspect of the last TMNT game wasn't a huge factor, it was at least better than what Battle Nexus has to offer. The storyline of this game is ripped largely out of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series' second season, and it consists of an overarching storyline that puts the four heroic turtles--Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael--on a quest to rescue their master, Splinter. At the beginning, you'll have a couple of story paths available to you, as well as a couple of locked story paths. Each story branches out into an episodic series of misadventures that you must play through, and some of these missions even have multiple paths. What's weird is that there's obviously a fairly linear plotline that the game follows, as evidenced by the way the different animated cutscenes taken from the show play out. So, even though you can choose from a couple of different missions, only one of them actually starts in the proper place in the story.

Agreed.  I was able to find a set for $18 after shipping on eBay, because the seller called it the "Sega Compact Disc system".  The Genesis turned out not to work, but I already had one to replace it.  Sometimes you get lucky and $30 is a great price, and with all the hookups.

Picked this up today at the thrift shop:

And that was what was inside.

I know this should go into the Sales Extravaganze, but this is a heads up for those that are regulars on this topic.
btw: I have a black licensed gameboy case now available for trade.  A Gameboy that is shorting out (you gotta shake it to make it turn on, sometimes), and has no battery door.  track and field and Super Mario Land gameboy manuals.  So if you are interested in these items pm me. I will put pics up on my collection profile. Check out my wishlist for items that I want to trade for.
