went all around town to as many thrift and game shops as i could in one day...considering i had to bus everywhere, it ended up being an 11 and a half hour shopping trip. i didn't find much in terms of quantity, but i think the quality makes up for it. i also found a new game store that was really awesome.

everything is CIB

I've got a boxed copy of To The Earth, but it's a former rental - like most of my NES boxes.  Cry

the boxed nes games were in really good shape, this one store had about a dozen CIB nes games in great shape, they must have all come from one collector.

Awesome goodies, techwizard!

I also had a quality over quantity score today at Value Village.

Found a sweet display case. Needs a lot of cleaning and some  glass panels, but for $15 I'm not complaining. Guardian Legend was just under ebay prices plus shipping so I pulled the trigger on it.

My US Nes Powerglove subset is now complete! I picked this up for $5 at the new game store in town.

@engel - How is Sword of the Berserk? I've been hunting for that one for years. I'm not a big Anime guy, but I LOVED Berserk and have been very curious to try the game out (same also goes for Record of Lodoss Wars on the Dreamcast).

@Techwizard - nice little lot there. Xenosaga and Spyborgs are both awesome games. I really want to try Flying Dragon also because I really liked the NES one.

i recently picked up Sword of the Berserk too actually, i didn't put a lot of time into it but my first impression was that the controls were a bit sluggish...it felt like my attacks had a significant delay between them, unlike more modern hack&slash's. other than that it looked pretty cool, and the controls might be better if i give it some more time to adjust to it.

i'm glad to hear spyborgs is good, i had no idea what it was when i bought it and went for it solely based on the screenshots/description on the back. it was actually sealed too, for only $9, so i couldn't really pass on it. that, red steel, and link's crossbow training were from the same store, the total came to $27 + tax, i managed to get them down to $25 + tax. they were also willing to give me the manual and disc from another copy of crossbow training to make that one complete and good condition with no change in price. not bad for a pawn shop.

@crabmaster do you know much about that TG16 game Dungeon Explorer? i tried it out for a few minutes, it looks really cool. the controls are tight, music is pretty good, graphics are nice, and i was amazed that it supported 5 player simultaneous co-op.

I don't have Dungeon Explorer yet, but from the little I know about it I really want a copy.

Picked up a small lot of PS3 stuff off kijiji today. Some jackass beat me to Street Fighter X Tekken which I really wanted, but at least I got Eternal Sonata which I've been looking for for what seems like forever.

Killzone 2 - $1
Prince of Persia - $1
Virtua Fighter 5 - $1
Fallout 3 - $5
Dragon Age Origins - $5
Eternal Sonata - $5
White Knight Chronicles II - $10

@Crabmaster2000 - I haven't played it yet, outside of popping the disc in to make sure it worked, I'll let you know if I end up liking it or rage-quitting while I play it.

@GamerNick: Not a sports gamer myself but I love NES Ice Hockey (and Blades of Steel). Good find.

Made my monthly pilgrimage to Digital Press today. It was almost the "day of 2's": got me Space Harrier II (GEN), Streets of Rage 2 (GEN), ThunderForce II (GEN). And outside that "two" theme: Mega Man 6 (NES - got it just in time), Klax, River Raid and Spider-Man.
