I had a "small" week. I also introduced my van to a guard rail which means I won't be collecting much for a while. I did pick up a few things at the game store (and via online classifieds). I didn't get any steals, but I don't think I was ripped off either:

-Paperboy cart (NES) $5

-Ghost Lion cart (obscure NES RPG? Why not?) $15     <--actually picked up last week, I guess

-Super Alfred Chicken (SNES -- I already own the NES game) $5

-Metroid Prime (Gamecube) - $10

I'm an RPG fan and I've never heard of this game before.

The other night Hungrymoose was nice enough to have a big gaming get together at his place. He was also nice enough to work a trade with me for a bunch of NES manuals and a couple Nintendo Power issues.

I carpooled with CatchFiveBats who is selling off his collection before he makes a big move, and I was able to get a good deal on a couple items.

The Kid Icarus is IB, since I already had a nice cart. I found a Persona 3 at the pawn shop a little while back, so he helped me with the collector's set items. He also made me a really good deal on Typing of the Dead which I have wanted for a while.

And then my buddy John went to Magfest and was nice enough to get this autographed for me by the amazing Yuzo Koshiro!

I had a buddy hook me up today too...he called me over to his car, opened his trunk, and said he found this in his closet and doesn't need it anymore.  He refused to take anything for it but I definitely owe him one.  I didn't even know there was a Genesis console with a Columns pack-in Smiley

A couple of packages came in today from fellow members.

Bought from sirpsycho.  As much of an Atari nut as I was as a kid, I had never seen any carts released by M Network until a few years ago.

A trade with wildbil52.  And again flashing back to my 2600 days, Dig Dug may be my favorite Atari game.  Now I can try out part 2.  When I tossed in Mike Tyson's Punch Out to test it, I realized that I literally haven't played this game in 20 years.  But I found myself recalling the combinations.  It's strange how that sticks with you.

@pwpcody: Great finds, and it's great that you are showing appreciation to your mom.

@engel762: I love famicom stuff, and that AV Famicom is sexy. Nice pickup!

I picked up a black GameCube at the market today for £5. It didn't come with any controllers though.

That is one of my struggles anymore.  I see quite a few GCs for cheap, but the controllers end up costing 2 to 3 times what I paid for the console.

Got these in today from a recent trade.  Some will probably go up for sale/trade.  I just really wanted the Vice Project Doom Box.

Looking for CIB NES games..........even Silent Service.
I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.
