Got a 2nd copy of AD&D Dragonstrike (NES) from my brother for my birthday (will be for sale soon if anyone needs it). Also got a copy of Cliffhanger (SNES), which the seller obviously sent for the wrong platform......ugh

Yeah Cliffhanger is pretty hard to find, especially CIB.

AV Famicom arrived from Japan today! The thing looks like it's new, still had the original plastics wrapped around it inside the box!
They tossed some promotional material for the Kirby's Dream Collection and 3DS LL (XL?) for the hell of it I guess.
Picked this up after talking to the guys at Arcade-Gear.com (formerly Jap-Sai.com) after Duke.Togo suggested I drop them an email.

Very nice AV Famicom! I'm not real familiar with them, but do they also play US carts?

They will not play US carts unless you have an adapter for 72 pin to 60 pin. But now at least I have a Famicom to go with my Famicom carts!

I did the entire circuit of thrifts in my area today after work and it ended up being a pretty kick ass day.
First I went back to Goodwill, just because it was closest. I did look around more of the store than just the shelves and glass case. I found a $2 GBC sitting on a rack that wasn't there yesterday. It was green tag day and all the paperbacks were only 30¢ each!

Later I went to my big thrift store after striking out everywhere else. I got everything except DOA Xtreme 2 (local game store) there, and A Mind Forever Voyaging (only missing the map) and Dark Alliance will be up for trade/sale.

I literally bought every Dragonlance novel they had. I probably spent another 10 minutes looking for more after I found all those.
I haven't read anything from Discworld since I was in middle school so I'm looking forward to getting some more Pratchett books as well.

Well guys, I haven't been doing much collecting this month. I'm pretty broke to be honest. Just one of those months where the bills outweigh the income a little bit... It's a little depressing, BUT, you press on, figure it out, and you get time to play through stuff, so its not so bad.
So my mom calls me, and said that a lady at her work said that her son was getting rid of his old video games, and my mom told her that I collect, so she said if I wanted them I could have them for free. RAD! Since I haven't been about to buy anything, this is extra awesome!
So I went to my mom's yesterday and picked the stuff up. Not much going on, some X-Box sports titles, an old NES that needs some love and some very common NES titles. Dragon Warrior, California Games, etc... I didn't expect to get anything I needed... well there were about 25 games, and well, sometimes, something happens that makes you smile so much... sometimes you get that much needed pick me up, something that just makes you so damn happy! There were actually two games in there I didn't have yet, and well, one of them....

I was totally shocked! I almost feel guilty considering what it's going for... but I feel like it was meant to be. I told my mom to thank the lady so much and when I get paid I'm going to get her a thank you card and a gift card to some place or something. Least I can do I think!
