Yeah, it did come with a book, maybe an encyclopedia?  Yeah I would count it with the set too.  Are there any Konami Games that didn't have silver boxes for NES?  I know ZEN: Intergalactic Ninja is blue, and maybe Monster in my Pocket is a different color.

I've got 2 extra encyclopedias. I randomly find them at Goodwill all the time.

Pretty excited to find these two, I remember playing them when I was a kid. Need to track down a 2600 console so I can fire them up.

Been playing a few of the Castlevania games recently and thought I would give it a try.

About Castlevania: Lament of Innocence My goal this year has been to get all Castlevania games, and I recently picked this one up as well. its a pretty good game, it follows the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night type of play. Where you level up stats, and find equipable items. Pretty fun Castlevania game, though it is not a whole lot challenging IMO.  Let me know what you think about it.

They make 3.5" external floppy drives with an USB connection. An example:

- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Army Men: Sarge's Heroes N64 carts, $1.99 each

- CIB Chaotic Shadow Warriors for 360, $3.99

- CIB Mario Party 6 for GameCube, $5.99: This was a bit more than I'd usually pay for a game, but I liked the folks who worked at the Goodwill I got this at, and put my cheapassery aside for a moment. Plus, I also know that what I paid was a fraction of its average online secondary market value, so there's that.

BTW Mario's pose on that box looks very familiar...

Considering his love of chili dogs, I highly recommend you NOT take him up on his offer to "pull my finger!"


Oh, and I rifled through my big ol' tangly tub of accessories and cords, and came across something I didn't even know I had:

If it hadn't been discussed on the CollectorCast a few shows ago, I never would have known how rare and highly sought-after the GameCube component cable was... and still is. And no, it's NOT for sale or trade. So nyaaah!

Interesting component cables for the GameCube Mr. Norch. I've never seen game system component cables without the stereo cables. How the hell do they expect you to get sound.

You use the audio coming from the normal a/v connector. Yeah, you've gotta have two cables plugged in at once.
