There was a bit of talk about Journey in one the threads here so I decided to pick it up.

Also bought another "Crabby Pick": Shiren the Wanderer.

Hmm... These games look good on my Oriental kilim. Very appropriate for Journey Wink

Cool pickups Fleach! Let me know what you think of Shiren. Its got kind of a cartoon-y vibe to it, but underneath that is a pretty unforgiving dungeon crawler. Pretty cool game!

It was good a guessing a certain adult toy I questioned it. It just told me the answer was a fetish. Damn this thing is good. For $1 it's worth the laugh.

Sometimes its fun to just make up something that doesn't exist and see what it comes up with or just answer the questions randomly and see where you end. When making up mythical creatures we often got "Godzilla" as our answer.

I like messing around with the Akinator online 20 Questions game, I've been floored by some of the stuff he guessed right.

It's been awhile since I've posted anything in this thread but my local GameStop is having a buy 1 get 1 free on PSP stuff so I raided their good stuff.

Castlevania Chronicles came from Half Price Books.

My weekly Play n Trade stop, and I further took advantage of their PS2 clearance sale including adding the last two released hockey titles for the console.

The Duke Nukem 64 and Final Fantasy XII will be added to FS/FT.  The SNES games are Home Alone, Chester Cheetah - Wild Wild Quest, Earthwork Jim, The Terminator, and Lord of Darkness.  The GBA is F-Zero Maximum Velocity.

The above games were from CDWorld (where the prices are usually terrible), except Dynasty! for the Odyssey 2 was a great eBay deal.  Purchased BIN for about half what I would expect to pay and with free shipping.  The seller still has one copy available, Zagnorch.

Of course it's pink, you silly! That goes without saying.

Anyhoo: the last few days, particularly today, have yielded some interesting finds.

Model 1 Sega Genesis console, courtesy of Razor Knuckles. Fear not, my good man; I'll see to it you're well rewarded for your generosity.

Japanese / Asia-Region CIB PSP games, $5.99 each:

- Metal Gear Ac!d
- Metal Gear Ac!d 2
- Coded Arms
- Phantasy Star Portable

Now I just need a PSP that's coded to these games' regions, and I'm good to go.

Also found:

- CIB Super Mario 3D Land for 3DS, $13.99: the Target Salvage train's still rolling, even though it's slowed down quite a bit since the end of the holidays.

- CIB Skylanders Giants for Wii, $7.95: Never hurts to have a backup copy.

- Complete BradyGames Fable II strategy guide, $1.99

- Star Wars Millennium Falcon Plug & Play TV Games thingy, $2.99: As I understand it, this one contains absolutely no games based on the *SHUDDER* prequels.

Then there was quite possibly the oddest pick-up I've had in quite some time:

What you see above are 11 DS game cards of Animal Crossing: Wild World, which were lying in a Ziploc bag at the bottom of a Goodwill display case for some time. I took a look at them on a previous visit a few days back, but I wanted to do a little research before I bought 'em. So I checked their resale value, and picked up several pointers on how to spot bootleg DS cards. They all seemed to check out when I gave 'em a closer look at the store, and I even compared them to other DS games in my collection. All I can say is, if they are bootlegs, they're pretty much perfect bootlegs. All the same, I can't imagine why anybody would own 11 copies of the same game. I think I'll keep the receipt within reach, just in case. Whether or not this was $25.00 well spent remains to be seen...
