Finally got my special Zagnorch christmas surprise. My wife was very confused while I was opening it, but it turns out in addition to the GTA game I claimed in his thread he made me another "game" to play. He crafted a "pin the Appendix on Haggar"game for me to play, complete with a scarred Haggar and 6 hand made appendix to pin to him. Can't wait to give it a play!!!

He also sent my son a few Skylanders goodies that he was super happy to dig into immediately. Thanks The Zagnorch!!

Not a bad haul today. I found a PS2 Slim with all the cables, a controller, and an Online Start-up Disc. All for $20.

And my favourite find of the day: a photo of silk kimono-era Rush! Nice 'stache Mr. Peart.

Just hit the local pawn shops for the first time in the past month or so:

$20 for 7 NES games I didn't have, and

Another $20 for 5 CIB 32x games and a Wii MotionPlus remote. I don't think I would have grabbed these if not for the Collectorcast!

I went to the flea market, hoping to grab something small for under $20. The first large shop had nothing, and has had nothing for over 2 years...they are just riding on the old stock they have and the new consoles they get in. The second shop, however, I saw when they first setup over a year ago, and just now went back. Everything is crisp and in clean condition in their store, and the things I saw in there would make most everyone here drool. I had to peel myself away from a lot of their mint, CIB NES stock since it was out of my price range, but damn if I didn't want to spend $500 in his store...

Needless to say, I left without buying anything. With both my wife and I depressed after leaving that store behind, we stopped at Goodwill, where I was able to at least pick up a GTA: San Andreas guide for $1 and Ridge Racer DS (like new) for $7, and a couple novels we were missing for $2.

At least I picked up something, though I'm going to regret not purchasing anything in that store for a while. They had a rental case for a Japanese Super Famicom in the store...  Cry

I had a pretty good day today.  I went to a couple different thrifts, a Gamestop and a local game store that I just found about.  I got these from the thrifts I went to:

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (PC, cib) - $2
Stuart Little 2 (PS1, cib) - $2
NFL Gameday 99 (PS1, cib) - $2
Weird Al Yankovich:  Bad Hair Day - $2
Masters of Horror:  Haeckel's Tale - $3

After the thrifts I went to Gamestop.  They had all guides 50% off and all PS2 games were buy 2 get 1 free.  They are also still doing their Gamecube Buy 2 Get 2 free, so I grabbed a couple random sports games that I didn't have:

Resident Evil 6 Guide - $5
God of War 2 (PS2, cib) - $10
Star Wars:  Force Unleashed (PS2, cib) - $10
Fatal Fury Battle Archives Volume 1 (PS2, cib) - Free
MC Groovz Dance Craze (GC, cib) - $2
ESPN INternational Winter Sports (GC, cib) - $2
Madden 2003 (GC, cib) - Free
Madden 2004 (GC, cib) - Free

Finally I went to the local game store I just found out about and a really nice haul:

Demon Sword - $5
Pipe Dream - $5
Short Order/Egg-splode - $5
Snake Rattle N Roll - $6
5 game guides, 2 game related comics, EGM #196, Game Informer #186, 193-214 - $8

One of the Game Informers has a bunch of signatures on it:

I'm sure it was just some kid and his friends putting their "Rock Star" signatures on it, but I'm still going to do a bit of research to be sure.  I don't know who would be signing this, but It's worth a half hour of checking.

Hey, it's Crabby in the middle!

Great grabs all around, guys. I was out and about today, grabbed a few things for Bil (which I'll let him post about when he gets them), and a couple goodies for me at a good price:

I found these the other day at the local grocery store marked down, so I grabbed the whole set:

And finally everything except Ninja Ryukenden came in from a seller over at Racketboy. These were at great prices, and I'm curious to check out the SNES "back-up" unit:
