I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart. Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

Just a small pick up at the grocery store today. I truly am sad. Nintendo Power has a lot more meaning for me than most. When I was forced in 4th grade to move two states away to a town I knew no one, had no friends. My cousin gave me ALL his Nintendo Power magazines from when it started until 1994 at the time when I moved. I spent all my time reading every page of those, figuring out strategies, trying to get my mom to buy me more new games. Some might find it silly to feel this way, but I am truly sad today. I'll never buy another issue of Nintendo Power. RIP old friend.

I feel the exact same way.
At least I have some older issues still and I am actually trying to collect all of them (mostly from the NES to N64 era right now).

It might be silly, but I feel the same way. Leafing through an old issue of Nintendo Power brought back such a feeling of childhood wonderment. It brought back so many memories of one of the greatest times in my life. Losing it feels like one of the last bits of being a kid is gone forever.

I'm half tempted to go pick up that Saturn we saw when I get paid again, I'll just have to fight the urge to buy that Sonic Jam that costs more than the damned system
