These are my Black Friday Amazon deals and a random Genesis game from Pawn America.

I just picked this up today from a local collector. We did a trade that I was very pleased with.

Nice finds everyone!  Congrats Duke, I know Little Sampson is probably going to be in the top 3 of my most expensive games to buy.  The worst part is, my obsession with cardboard is probably going to cost me triple the price of a cart only copy.

I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

Where do you find target salvage games?

Target sends its salvage and clearance to Goodwill on specific days. If you find a Goodwill near a Target, it'll likely have salvaged items.

The Target salvage items that show up in the Goodwills in my area usually have the following tags on 'em:

This was on the back of a CIB Super Mario Bros. U game I picked up yesterday for $19.99.

Goodwill usually discounts 50% to 65% off the original retail price, but I've recently seen it as much as 80+%.

Speaking of pickups, here are a few other things I grabbed over the last couple days:

From Amazon.com for $20:

- Mytran Wars for PSP

- Archer Maclean's Mercury double pack for PSP

- Exit DS

Also:

- CIB My Hero for SMS, $7.99 $4.00 at the Salvation Army's monthly midnight madness sale.

- Five three-packs of Lego DS game cases, $0.99 each at Goodwill. These also originally came from Target, but I don't think they're classified as "salvage." I do recall seeing them in the clearance aisle of a few local Target stores a couple weeks back for $1.48 a pop, but I guess they couldn't sell them for even that little.

- $25 GameStop gift card from an online rewards program I belong to. Trying to figure out what to spend it on. I was originally gonna get a Nyko Power Grip Pro for my 3DS with it...

...but then I read that Nyko cancelled the thing:

Go figure.  Sad

When I saw that everyone was getting Little Samson's, TG 16's and Lego DS game cases'. I just had to catch up. So not only did I find a sort-of sealed Dink Smallwood but also a Yngwie Malmsteen cd today at my favorite thrift store.

When you are digging through those stacks of Petra, Ace of Base and Mozart cd's to find miss-placed Dreamcast, and Playstation games, don't forget, sometimes you can actually find music you want to listen to. 80's, speed medal, technical classically influenced, niche music, but good stuff none the less.

It's the game they would have made The Legend of Zelda, if they had had a sense of humor.

Having the disc is great but I also have the Android version, and from the official website: (http://www.rtsoft.com/pages/dink.php)

"....Available now from the iTunes App Store, Android Market, and the HP App Catalog (webOS).

The full HD version is also available for Windows and the Mac App Store for free."

Yeah there's a target less than a mile from my goodwill too, and i never see salvage titles there either.  Just rockband guitars and original xbox's.

I see Target stuff at one of my goodwills all the time.  I just recently posted a Mario Kart 7 3DS that I found there for 14.99.  The Cellophane got ripped so Target couldn't sell it in their store.

I have the good fortune living in an area that has over a dozen Goodwills within a ten mile radius of where I live and work, five of which I check out on a regular basis.

There's only one of those in my area that's worth going to, and its asking prices for stuff fluctuates wildly.

They also have a habit of selling cartridge games in bundles. Though it's usually a bundle of five for $5.

That's the beauty of Target salvage games: they're usually new or recent releases that are priced low enough where you can resell 'em for a pretty tidy profit.

Neo-classical metal... good stuff. I wish I could find my Rising Force CD.
