^ Glad to see you feed your addiction.

Luckily for me, I still had enough left on that TRU gift card to get the two non-exclusive Giant figures, and still had a few bucks worth of credit left over.

We're just concerned about you. The last thing we want is for you to fall into the same trap that so many other ardent Sonic fanboys have.

Like drawing half-assed Sonic recolors fan characters and posting them on DeviantArt, or writing some rambling, nonsensical Sonic/Amy ship-fic.

Or even worse:

Jealous of that Trak-Ball sir....

Don't be jealous yet-- I haven't tested it out yet.

Jealous of that Trak-Ball sir....

Boxed one in decent shape at the flea market here...
Also, yes, we spotted the Vectrex the day after Vectrex Day was mentioned. Definitely participating. Wink

Sunday morning I met Nick down at a local comic book store with the plan of buying a bunch of NES carts from the owners shelf full of loose carts to bulk up my collection a little.  Nick knows the owner a little better than I do so he came along to see if we could work out a deal.  We also ended up tearing open about thirty 5 screw carts in the hopes of finding one of those funky Famicom-NES adapters that some of them contain.  No luck there.

After all of the cartridge surgery we picked through the piles of carts and ended up coming up with 20 NES and 2 SNES games.  I ended up paying 60 dollars for the lot and also picked up a CiB copy of Super Mario Bros. 2.

Here's the list...

NES
The Simpsons, Bart vs. the Space Mutants
Ninja Kid
Godzilla
Bomberman
Hydlide
Ghostbusters
Stinger
Venice Beach Volleyball
The Goonies 2
Demon Sword
Tetris 2
Dig Dug II
Metal Gear
The Battle of Olympus
Mario Bros (5 screw)
Bubble Bobble
Rollergames
Crystalis
Q*Bert
RoboWarrior

SNES
Samurai Shodown
Street Fighter 2

...damn it! I went to click Modify to resize your image and then save, and clicked Delete and it deleted the topic without a warning. I was trying to use the image resize tags. Sad

Sorry if things broke. It looks like you'll have to re-link in your image, Johnny.

EDIT: Code to resize image:

I tried to post this image but it was huge.

Not really a find, because I got them from a guy I trade with, but I do find them cool.  WAY COOL.
EDIT: Resized the image for you. If you find that your images are too large, give that code I posted above a shot. This is set to 400x400 as a base, and you're welcome to use up to 800...past that may be a little large. Thanks!

Looking for CIB NES games..........even Silent Service.
I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

Thanks Crabmaster.  By the way, why is it so hard to find the Super Mario All Stars Player's Guide?

It was a busy Saturday afternoon.  Headed to a 'kind-of' flea market that we have here.  It's mostly just booths with antiques, healing...well...snake oil, and overpriced 'nadaworths'.  I decided to stop by to see what they had, since I hadn't been there in about a year.  Nothing special - gaming-wise.  But I did find a couple of pretty cool display pieces.

1963 Aururo The Mummy (glows in the dark) model, never put together for $7.  I love me some classic horror flicks.  Also, shown in the fourth pic, a couple of very awesome Go Bots cups for $1.  Yes, Go Bots.  Mom didn't make Transformers money.

Then stopped at the Play 'n' Trade.  Since they were reorganizing and pushing the retro stuff to the back, CURSES!, I snagged a bunch of collection fillers and part carts, all for 50 cents each.  The Wii controller was $18 and NHL 08 was $2.  Hockey, Baby!

Then there was Big Lots, since their games were 25% off.  Mario Galaxy and Sonic Classic for $15 each.  Sonic figures $5 each.  3DS case was $6, and I think I'll use it for my Gizmondo, just to make Donkey Kong pee himself.  The AC/DC PS2 game was from a Hastings stop for foreign horror flicks.  99 Cents?  Why not!

THEN, when I got home tonight, a package from wildbil52 was waiting for me.  All are CIB and the Kung Fu Heroes has a protective cover.  The Atari Empire Strikes Back is certainly the highlight for me.  Many memories playing that as a kid, and to have a complete copy is awesome.  Thanks, Bil.

Nice variety Techie. I really dig those Sonic figures. Also I didn't realize any 32X games came in plastic boxes.
