I bought an iPad 3 this past Friday. Got it on Amazon and paid for the overnight shipping, but of course missed the UPS man on Saturday morning. Should have it tomorrow.

OK, yesterday was pretty awesome for me. All of this came from two responses to my Craigslist WTB listing. Total spent for everything? $40.

Both systems work great, and all of the SNES carts are in really great shape. I'll be keeping a few, but many will be going up for sale. Cheesy The books are water damaged, so not sure what to do with them.

^nice. Fun-fact: I bought a "non-working" X'Eye a couple years ago. The cart slot worked great, but the CD drive would keep saying load disc. It occurred to me that maybe it didn't know that the lid was closed. Opened it up, duct taped the little sensor that gets pressed down when you close the lid. Boom. 5 mins later I had a working X'Eye. Cheesy

Duke you lucky dog.  $40 for Secret of Mana + the rest.  Lethal Weapon is a nice grab too.  Sweet, sweet mullet.

Yeah, I had to trade away my last copy of Secret of Mana for some PAL NES stuff so this one is going back in the collection. Starfox is going to swap out a copy I have already due to condition, and almost all the rest will be for sale. I really need to get focused on working towards the end of my NES set and this should help.

Not sure on the X'Eye. At first I was definitely selling, but I really like the unit now that I have played with it. That and I can sing Karaoke with it... oh yeah.

@noiseredux: I had the exact same thing happen with a Dreamcast I bought for a buck once, and used the same solution Wink

Yeah, I was super stoked to have it.  They had it marked for $38.99, but I asked what they would take in cash.  I buy a lot from the guys who own the store and they are always good to me.  Relationships in this hobby should never be taken lightly.

Quote of the day folks. I had my local pawn shop buddy just call me today out of the blue just to let me know a couple games they just got in. Nothing interesting for me, but that relationship pays off in spades sometimes.

Don't forget about common courtesy; that's a vital part of any buyer-seller relationship, be you the buyer or the seller. It's amazing what people will do for you if you treat them like human beings, especially at the thrifts.

Speaking of which: I picked up a few things here and there over the last few days, including the following loose N64 carts for $1.99 each:

- Mario Kart 64
- Mario Party 2

- Two of Super Mario 64
- Body Harvest
- Nightmare Creatures
- StarFox 64

I also grabbed the following loose GB/GBC games for $0.99 each:

- Dr. Mario
- Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
(Yay! I have a copy with working game save!)

Snagged some reading material for $1.00 each...

- Official Assassin's Creed II start guide (sealed)
- Official Madden 10 guide

And also...

- Canyon Bomber (VCS/2600) $0.99
- Intellivision Classic Games Collection (PS1) $2.99

Capping things off was Pikmin 2 for $3.49, which is a pretty good deal as i understand it. The only bummer: no manual.

Constantly scouring ebay for vaguely described lots and poorly labeled listing titles can feel like a full time job, but i like when it pays off.

first 4 are empty boxes
