Hope it's okay to post something like this in here, since I suppose it's not technically a gaming item. I am using it exclusively for gaming though, if that counts for anything. Found this at a Salvation Army for $12.
Panasonic CT-1382 Y. It's a commercial video monitor. The only input it accepts is S-Video. Let me tell you, the picture quality on this thing just absolutely blows me away. SNES especially looks absolutely phenomenal. It's small, and i'm not sure what i'm going to do with it just yet in terms of my whole video setup, but I'm definitely glad I found it.
The back has a lot of weird in/out stuff and connectors that I've never seen before, I assume they're for various commercial a/v applications. There's a lot of knobs and adjustable pots and other thingies, so it's really easy to tweak the picture to exactly how you like it. I'm gonna try and run one of those home theater calibration DVDs on it later.
Only downside (besides the fact that it's s-video only) is that the audio is mono. That's a pretty minor problem though.

^that's cool Apple. How small is it? Like 19" ? S-Video means Dreamcast would look nice, and CRT means lightgun games.

If it's a commercial monitor, those connectors on the back should be BNC type, and are often RGB or component video. The photo is a little blurry though, so I can't see well enough on yours.

I want to say more like 13-15" or so. Haven't hooked up a DC to it yet, but I'm sure it'll look fantastic. N64 looked really good at least.

Yeah I just now found out that they're BNC connectors. This thing doesn't have component/RGB I don't think, all of those jacks are just various in/outs. Sorry for the blurry photo, my camera is pretty terrible and desperately needs an upgrade.
That blue thing is an 8-pin connector of some sort, says VTR under it. I'm trying to research some stuff on it, but I wonder if that might be capable of accepting RGB?
EDIT: After some googling, it doesn't seem likely. Pinout is just video in/video out, audio in/audio out, and a bunch of grounds for each of those. Oh well.

Did you get it as a gift? I can't see it being worth $300 now, maybe at some point when it was believed to be more rare than it truly is.

Huh, the light gun for my master system lacks an orange safety tip.
Does that mean I'm a potential felon with contraband in my collection?
Anyhoo: while the local thrifts haven't had decent deals in the way of games or accessories lately, I still find some nicely priced reading material from time to time:

I made an impromptu visit to the local thift stores on friday and made out alright:

Naruto was $1.50 It's pretty scratched up but I think it will work fine. The rest were $3 in great condition . The Indiana Jones and Arcade Unplugged are still sealed. Can't beat sealed current gen games for $3.
I'm seeing 360 games pop up more and more at goodwill/thrift stores lately. I think video games are on a 5 year cycle. 9 times out of 10 when I check save games on memory cards I've found the last saved game is roughly 5 years old. People play the games, lose interest, it sits around for 5 years and then it gets cleared out to a thift store or yard sale. That's my theory anyway.
Also, I've been looking for a cheap copy of the xbox live arcde compilation disc for awhile because it has a full version of Pac Man Championship edition which I heard is great.

My old one didn't have a safety tip. In fact, this is the first time I've seen a safety tipped one.

A sealed game is a sealed game. If anything it's always nice to pad the collection even if it is a little fat.
