Wink

Actually, I wouldn't mind getting one of those, myself... but I'm in no hurry.

Besides, I have my own Atari addiction to feed...

Band Hero is probably the worst music game out of them all.  I love music games going all the way back to Parappa the Rappa, the Bemani series (DDR, Beatmania), and Rock Band/Guitar Hero....but Band Hero sucked some serious ass.  No offense.

And for the record, Bemani > American music games

Can haz Beatmania IIDX? Or really, ANY Bemani game that has any semblance to its Japanese roots, and not this "It won't sell unless it has licensed music in it." bullshit?

I picked up two first prints of Gran Turismo 2 with the colored disc tops.  Both are complete and in great condition.  $2 each at a St. Vincent's.  I have one of my later print run copies with the monochrome disc tops at the bottom of the picture.

I don't think I've said anything to anyone on here, but I've been on a hunt for a good gameboy micro for a while now.  Its been almost a year now and still no gameboy.  Yesterday I saw a woman post on a local Facebook forum with just "Gameboy Micro-$10"  I was happy already to find one for $10, then she gave me this.

Yup. Famicom edition for $10. Best score I've had for a while. Smiley

Licensed or not, the music in IIDX and Bemani as a whole is great.  Besides, licensed music in DDR/Beatmania games doesn't work for some reason....Chris Brown and Brittany Spears?  No thank you.  Naoki Maeda and DJ Taka?  Yes please!!!

I booted up the most recent Xbox 360 incarnation, and there were only 4 Bemani songs on the song list to start with. A friend of mine just said "WTF?", and we turned it off.

Pretty much.  I have DDR Universe and the Supernova games and they're terrible.  I don't think Konami of America or even the American media market "gets it".  G4/X-Play absolutely destroyed Beatmania for the PS2 because most of the songs were unlicensed, but ask anyone who's ever played the game or any IIDX and they'll tell you just how fun and addicting the game is because of the music and the play style.  It's a shame they never made a US Beatmania 2 Sad

I enjoyed the Universe games, but they definitely went downhill after each iteration. At least Universe 2 had quite a bit of the Bemani songs. Time to get back on topic...  nod

Oh wow, the Famicom GB Micro, and for only $10!  I've been chasing after one of these on eBay for awhile and they just keep going for crazy prices.  Seeing you pick one up for $10 strengthens my resolve to wait until I happen upon a great deal before I pounce on it.  Great score! Smiley

Thanks Slowman!  I've been watching them on ebay for a long time as well. I think its one of those items where you are better off to wait for one in the wild. Good luck finding yours. If I somehow find another one for a good price I'll let you know.

@ Retrorage. I'm not buying it to make a statement I am buying it because I don't own it and it is cheap and maybe even more importantly the achievements look relatively easy.

Old ddr and stepmania were probably some of the best music games I have played. I liked the old GH and the newer ones have tracks that interest me but i have only recently tarted buying music games again. And only because they have been heavily discounted.

That thing retailed  at like 200$ didn't it?

I picked this one up at the local retro store, and it looks like it is going to Banana Cheesy
