What's da haps, kids!
I don't own a Ps3 or xbox360 :0(
Don't feel too bad; I haven't acquired either one myself...
yet. Well, actually I do own a PS3 that was given to me; it just doesn't work. I am in the midst of acquiring a 360, however, so I won't look like I'm too behind the times. I hope to have it before its successor drops.
ANYway, on to my recent scores.

For some reason, I had the urge to check out the local Salvation Army last night. The place had been kinda dry lately, but my instincts were tellin' me I'd find a little something. Sure 'nuff, I discovered a quartet of CIB PS1 games in beautiful shape for $0.99 each, including:
-
Parasite Eve
- Space Invaders
- Spyro: Ripto's Rage (part of Collector's Edition 3-pack)
-
Spyro: Year of the Dragon (also part of Collector's Edition 3-pack)
I was kinda bummed they didn't have the first
Spyro CE, or the slipcase the three CE games came in. None the less, I'm seriously considering selling my original-release versions, and keeping the CEs, 'cuz I dig how they look.
I struck up a conversation with a fellow game hunter at the SA, who showed me some mobile-phone pics of his rather impressive collection. I told him about RF Generation and tried to sell him on using RFGen to keep track of his collection. Sadly, I proved less than persuasive; he saw the whole thing as "too much work." (I swear I'll do better next time, guys.)
On the upside: he let me know about a retro video game store in Santa Clara I plan to check out later this week.
https://www.facebook.com/...it-Gamers/201320360025171Oddly enough, there are very few specialty retro vidya stores out here...
Back to the hunt: I also hit the local Rasputin's (my fave second-hand media shop), and discovered a couple CIB PS2 games for $1.95 each.
-
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
- Maximo: Ghosts to Glory: inspired by and the spiritual descendant of the
Ghouls 'n' Ghosts / Ghosts 'n' Goblins series.
A couple fellow RFGentlemen sent some stuff my way as well:
- QuikShot NES joystick and
Scene It? 360 buzzer set with receiver from WildBil52: I requested just the joystick, but the Wild One got sneaky and threw some extra stuff into the shipping box. He did mention that he was "uncluttering" his house...
-
How to Win at The Video Games paperback from GrayGhost81: I'll keep an eye out for those guides you're looking for, big guy.
I also picked up strat-guides for
New Super Mario Bros. Wii and
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for $3.99 each.
Finally, the obligatory big non-vidya score: a Nerf N-Strike ammo box for $2.99.
Back to you, gentlemen.
