I have never played pokemon in my life but i knew i couldn't pass this all up for $3 at the goodwill. I almost crapped  my pants when i saw how much these sell for on ebay. Not much of a handheld gamer. I  was wondering if i should at least try one? And if so which one.

Blue's a lot more broken than Red, and Yellow and Gold are pretty broken too. Wink

DAMN STRAIGHT YOU COULDN'T! Holy crap, just $3?! I haven't seen prices that low for vidya stuff at any of my local Goodwills in a couple years! And this is comin' from a guy who can't stand Pokemon... except for the filthy lucre from reselling it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! it'll just lead to bad things like long-term basement-dwelling and furrydom, and God knows we don't need any more of that depravity in the world. Just sell them off and wash your hands of the whole deal. Take it from someone who knows...

ANYway: I'll show off my latest cache of small scores a little later. Until then...

Of course they're broken-- they're frickin' Pokemon games. That pretty much goes without saying. They're as broken as the spirit of the person who willingly plays them for fun.

Damn $3 dollar Pokemon and a gameboy advanced. What a deal.

I only played one Pokemon game back in 1998. Don't remember what one. It was ok. I'm not really into RPG type games anymore.

What's da haps, kids!

I don't own a Ps3 or xbox360 :0(

Don't feel too bad; I haven't acquired either one myself...yet. Well, actually I do own a PS3 that was given to me; it just doesn't work. I am in the midst of acquiring a 360, however, so I won't look like I'm too behind the times. I hope to have it before its successor drops.

ANYway, on to my recent scores.

For some reason, I had the urge to check out the local Salvation Army last night. The place had been kinda dry lately, but my instincts were tellin' me I'd find a little something. Sure 'nuff, I discovered a quartet of CIB PS1 games in beautiful shape for $0.99 each, including:

- Parasite Eve
- Space Invaders
- Spyro: Ripto's Rage
(part of Collector's Edition 3-pack)
- Spyro: Year of the Dragon (also part of Collector's Edition 3-pack)

I was kinda bummed they didn't have the first Spyro CE, or the slipcase the three CE games came in. None the less, I'm seriously considering selling my original-release versions, and keeping the CEs, 'cuz I dig how they look.

I struck up a conversation with a fellow game hunter at the SA, who showed me some mobile-phone pics of his rather impressive collection. I told him about RF Generation and tried to sell him on using RFGen to keep track of his collection. Sadly, I proved less than persuasive; he saw the whole thing as "too much work." (I swear I'll do better next time, guys.)

On the upside: he let me know about a retro video game store in Santa Clara I plan to check out later this week.

https://www.facebook.com/...it-Gamers/201320360025171

Oddly enough, there are very few specialty retro vidya stores out here...

Back to the hunt: I also hit the local Rasputin's (my fave second-hand media shop), and discovered a couple CIB PS2 games for $1.95 each.

- Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
- Maximo: Ghosts to Glory
: inspired by and the spiritual descendant of the Ghouls 'n' Ghosts / Ghosts 'n' Goblins series.

A couple fellow RFGentlemen sent some stuff my way as well:

- QuikShot NES joystick and Scene It? 360 buzzer set with receiver from WildBil52: I requested just the joystick, but the Wild One got sneaky and threw some extra stuff into the shipping box. He did mention that he was "uncluttering" his house...  Wink

- How to Win at The Video Games paperback from GrayGhost81: I'll keep an eye out for those guides you're looking for, big guy.

I also picked up strat-guides for New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Castlevania: Curse of Darkness for $3.99 each.

Finally, the obligatory big non-vidya score: a Nerf N-Strike ammo box for $2.99.

Back to you, gentlemen.

$3 for 6 pokemon games, beautiful.

Also Zig Zag, still on the Nerf kick?  I thought you kicked that foam booger sugar like a bad habit?

I got a fairly large Atari lot today.  I'll post pictures tomorrow.
