Any of you PC guys know if there is a way to check if the registration code in Final Fantasy XIV has been used without actually registering it myself?

I don't think so.  You could try emailing Square support and telling the truth. You bought the game and want to know if the key is good before activating it because it isn't for you.

Good idea, thanks Bil!  +1 Karma Point

A good but tiring weekend. Grandparents came and got the kids for 4 nights and the wife and I painted 4 rooms downstairs, uncovered to pool, and I got the grass cut.  Still managed to have some fun going out at night and Saturday morning I drug the wife out the the local flea market.  Picked up:

Ninja Gaiden II - $3 (for sale/trade)
Tale of Rebirth (PS2 - Japanese import) - $2.50 (for sale/trade)
and....... Rival Schools (minty, both discs, but no book.. Sad ) - $2.50 Smiley

Also pick up a Windows 95 copy of Diablo at a thrift store - $1

and

Grabbed two NES games: Sesame Street Countdown and Kings of the Beach - $4 (both for sale/trade)

I got a couple nice surprises today. First, my copy of Goof Troop came in so now I can participate in June's Community Playthrough.

Now this caught me totally off guard. This evening a friend stopped by my place with something in a plastic bag. He hands me the bag and says, "I came to return something that's long overdue." It was Zelda Oracle of Seasons. I had completely forgot I had this game, let alone let it to a friend.

It seems like it has been way too long since I have been able to cross another NES game off my list, but I finally got a break today from a Craigslist ad. Took a little drive and came back with:

Nice grab Duke. I know the feeling of far and few between when it comes to NES titles.

That is a sparkle-y Linus Space head! When I see those gold carts they are generally pretty scratched up.

@Fleach - How long did your friend have the game? Looks like he at least returned it in good shape.

I think I got the game not too long after its release, so my friend had it for some five to seven years. He's a great friend who's a little on the geeky side like me so at least it was in safe hands.

Tell me about it, I think I am down to 13 for a complete loose US set. Probably never get there, but I will get closer. How close are you now?

20 games for a licensed set, no idea on unlicensed. Just pick up the latter as I come across them.

Little game hunting this morning yielded this stuff for about $70 at a few different shops. Deadly Creatures, Mercury Meltdown and the Allundra 2 guides were all x 2. Ususally don't pick up loose cd games, but the guy just tossed in Clock Tower as a freebie so I'm not complaining.

I'd be willing to swap some guides with you, since I don't own any of your duplicates there. My wife's off this week, so I'll be catching up on items to be shipped out. I'll send you a PM about it.
