Got WWE 13 for about 16 bucks after a few trade ins.

I think I'm going to pick up the Wii U at midnight, if they aren't all sold out. I'm still not sure...

I heard these commercial grade monitors were good for gaming so I casually mentioned it to a friend that works at a tv station that I was looking for one. That was a few days ago. Today he shows up on my door step with these:

Sony PVM 20L5 and a Sony PVM 2530. Best part? FREE! His work was going to throw them away soon. The only console that I could find the svideo cable for was my saturn so I quickly hooked it up with Astal to test them out. They have video outs on them so I just daisy chained them together with another svideo cable for the picture.

The picture doesn't really do them justice as well as just the svideo connection. Time to buy some RGB/SCART/whatever custom cables I need to get an RGB signal.

I tested them in the front hall to make sure they worked before I start carting them around the house.

Those look pretty sleek. I'd be happy to trade out the crappy CRTs I have in my game room for a couple of those.

HOLY FREAKIN' CRAP!!!

YOU GUYS WON'T BELIEVE THE DEAL I GOT! YOU SIMPLY HAVE TO SCROLL DOWN AND TAKE A GANDER AT THE COMPLETE, SEALED SUPER-LIMITED-EDITION BOX SETS I PICKED UP FOR JUST $3.00 EACH:

I can taste your jealousy from here. Or is it the chocolate creme filling?

Oh yeah, I also picked up some really lame loose SNES and N64 carts from an out-of-the-way Goodwill for $2.99 a pop:

Yawn.

SNES:

- Super Metroid (Note to Duke.Togo: I'm going to learn to really like this game, just for you... no one else. No one else can make me really like it. no one else, except-- no one else.)

- Warlock

- Cool Spot

-Super Mario Kart

N64:

- Mario Party 1 & 2

- Japanese Super Smash Bros.

Also shown: a couple scores I grabbed earlier in the week, but was too lazy to photograph.

And tasty, too!

Nah... that was $9.99.

Which is still pretty freakin' good, considering the price range for it loose on Ammy Marketplace is around $35-$40.

Not anymore I don't-- I resold 'em all to support my Pokemon Skylanders habit.

I stopped by a thrift store today that I normally don't go to.  It's a pretty popular thrift so everything gets snapped up as soon as it's put out.  Today I actually found something!

Just the top row and the Guitar are from the thrift.  The bottom row 3 games I got in the mail today from Newegg and Gamefly, who were both having a sale.  I paid:

Thrift Store

Wireless Guitar Hero controller for Xbox 360 - $5
Microsoft Pinball Arcade - $2
Jurassic Park Dinosaur Battles - $3
Medal of Honor Allied Assault:  Spearhead - $3
Medal of Honer Airborne - $3
Destroy All Humans! 2 - $5

Newegg

The Darkness II Limited Edition (PC, brand new)- $5
Mass Effect 2 (PC, brand new) - $6

Gamefly
Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City - $9

I'm really excited about the wireless guitar.  I've been looking for one for a good price for a while now.

I forgive you.  I didn't buy all of those $5 sports games you so graciously left for me, so feel free to scoop them up at your earliest convenience  Wink
