Those are really cool. I'm sure they'll be a treat to read. It'll be cool to compare those magazines to modern ones and see how they've changed over time.

I was very happy with this score of vintage reading material I picked up yesterday for $8 at a thrift.  Included in the lot are 9 Electronic Games, 9 Electronic Fun, 3 Joystick, 2 Video & Arcade, 1 Video Game Player, along with several different computer, electronics, and science magazines (and an issue of GAMES magazine).  All are from 1982 to 1984.  Lots of fun reading in my future!!!

Those old mags are great. I have a few issues of ENTER, K Power, and a few others from back then. Fun to go back and read through them.

Headed out to the post office to ship a few things and shot over to the thrift shop right down the road and found me a NES for $5. Looks and works great.

It came in a plastic bag with Super Mario/Duck hunt (no surprise), two controllers, power supply and RF adapter.

When I got home I tore the bag open and looked inside the system and saw two games packed into the slot and I got all excited thinking I was gonna get two more games to add to my collection. Only to find out they were also Super Mario/Duck hunt. So yeah kinda pissed me off, but for $5 who cares.

That's awesome Duke.  I'm busy going after a full NES set, but after seeing that, I might come down with Famicom fever.

I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

I have to say that all in all the Famicom market for rares isn't as crazy as the NES currently is, so I'm glad to be grabbing some really great titles like this.

Are there alot of Famicom only titles that don't require Japanese reading skills?

Quite a few action games that require no reading skills, and many more that you can still play with a small FAQ.
