A friend is hooking me up with a Wii that he never plays. Aside from knowing that I can pick up some nice classics on Virtual Console, I know nothing about the games available. I need some direction about what's good. So let me know what I should look at getting.  razz

The games Sirgin listed are all great.

Depending what part of the world your in, Disaster: Day of Crisis & Project Zero 2 are both must haves.

If your after some awesome light gun fun try Dead Space: Extraction, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, House of the Dead: Overkill, House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return, Ghost Squad.

I'd also say Madworld and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn are worth picking up.
Also if you want to get any WiiWare, my fav is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King.

Get yourself a cheap set of component cables and a Gamecube controller and memory card and you now have a great way to play GC games in Pro Scan.  Also, while there are some great games to play, there are also some epically bad games as well.  Ju-On for example.

I have to third No More Heroes(both of them). Those two games alone are good enough reason to keep a Wii around and can be had cheap AFAIK.

Holy crap, thanks for the awesome suggestions guys. I had no idea how versatile the Wii is and had no idea that it has light gun games. I didn't know Xenoblade was a Wii game either, is that part of the Xenosaga series? Same universe maybe?

No, unrelated. Namco owns the IP to Saga. However the original title was Monando Begining of the word but later changed it because it sounded cooler. I think Xeno is now just used for marketing. Nintendo owns Monolith Soft since 2007 so their next game looking like a maybe semi followup to Xenoblade is X on Wii U and yes will be coming to the US.

Another one to add to the growing list, I've just been playing Calling and would definitely recommend it to.
