Lighter model, different screen type, Micro USB/Micro SD slots for more convenient data transfer, which some of you wanted.  Should also mean you don't need CMA to transfer files between PC and Vita anymore.  also has a memory card bundled (1g) which everybody wanted. Those of you thinking of buying a Vita, you might want to hold off for a little while.

There is also a Final Fantasy X|X-2 bundle with its own Vita 2.0 design, as well as one for God Eater 2.

Ew. That really is a drastic change in screen quality.

I read plenty of stuff about this but this is the first time I've seen it and yes, there is certainly a loss of visual fidelity.  Is this worth micro-USB and an extra hour of battery life?  I think we would need another price drop before this leaves Japan.

So it isn't really a Vita 2000, more of a Vita E1000?  Shame- they seemed to have improved everything else (I noticed the start/select buttons weren't as awkward).

Damn. A great example of the two steps forward one step back mentality. So they add some things that people want and make it cheaper, but then take away one of the most important things of the system?.

Atleast the PSP models had better screens each time (except maybe the GO and street, unsure about those).

Hahaha thanks for the comparison pics Ryudo.

You would assume they would be able to use the same screens add the extra features and still be able to cut costs just based on the general tech increases that have happened.

Meant to be in Japan this month, and there are WAAAY too many model variations ( incl FFX|X-2 version due out in Decemberish) to be a prototype.  Sad

Hopefully they'll learn their lesson with the Vita 3000.
