Not sure if I posted this in the right place (sorry im new). Is there a way to add guides to your collection list? If not who thinks it would be a good idea to keep track of those as well?

Nope..guides aren't a game type on here...what you can do is set up a separate folder and call it guides. My brother is also in the development stage for a Game guide and Game Magazine/Books collecting site SO Keep your eyes out for a post.  ALSO welcome to RF!  And one more thing the best way to keep track on your own accord is keep an excel file handy.

There are plans to extend the database to support Strategy Guides, but we're a bit away from that.

jjame91 is a friend of mine locally, glad to see you made it. Smiley

I like the idea of guides being in the database because they go together with specific games in a way that no other "accessory" does.  I don't currently add hardware or any accessories to my collection here but I would add guides.

We could simply just dump guides in the database as another database and track them separately, but I'm pretty sure that's not what everyone here's looking for. Hence, why we haven't just dived in with it yet. A friend of mine runs a strategy guide website, but he hasn't updated it in a couple years. Together, the two of us have over 2500 guides. Wink
