This is apparently going to be Naked Snake. Not Solid Snake (I know Hayter was Naked in MGS 3, but Big Boss sounded a lot different in MGS 4). The article says it takes place in 1984 (symbolism much?) and Snake is in his 40s. Remember Solid was apparently in his late 20s when the first 2 Metal Gears took place in the 1990s and about 33 when Shadow Moses happened in 2005 according to the games.

*EDIT: In 1984 the 3 Big Boss clones are supposed to be 11 or 12.

Thanks, to be honest MGS was the first one I played and my favorite so most of the time any Snake is Solid Snake to me so I just fired it off that way.

Having said that it actually might not be that bad given your quick explanation.
