The Fragile Army by The Polyphonic Spree.

I was never a big fan of what I've heard of them in the past. I thought they were a 24 member, robe wearing gimmick, until I heard two of their new songs played XM Channel 43, XMU: Mental Cabaret and Get Up and Go. I was very impressed and decided to look more into the new album. I found the single from it called "Running Away" and was equally impressed. So, I decided to buy the record when it came out on Tuesday, and I have determined it one of the top 10 albums I've heard all year.

The worst thing about the album is the sometimes cheesy lyrics and the awful, awful, AWFUL use of WordArt on the album cover.

I'm exploring the back catalog of The Appleseed Cast, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon DVDA. It's a fan made 4.1 channel audio DVD in Dolby Digital or DTS. It sounds fantastic, and the rear channels are actually used quite well. I don't know what the difference is between this and the official DSOTM 30th Anniversary CDS and I'm not sure of its legality because it was a free download. I doubt the DVD editors pay Pink Floyd any royalties on it.

I might end up buying the official DSOTM CDS to take the guilt off my mind...

James, I've heard that version you mentioned, and I'm pretty sure that was taken from the quadraphonic LP version of DSOTM. There are also quadraphonic conversions of Atom Heart Mother, and Wish You Were Here. Hey, speaking of Pink Floyd, did you know that Piper At The Gates Of Dawn is bieng reissued this year as a 3  CD set? Check it out: http://www.pitchforkmedia...e-gates-of-dawni-reissued

Anyways. I'm listening to the Best Of The Fat Boys!

The Avalanches - Since I Left You

Good album. I'm halfway through. It's been pretty mellow so far, nothing grating my ears. They did Frontier Psychiatrist, which is on this album.

Myself, I've been playing with my mic and windows sound recorder.

Not bad quality for windows-ware and a $3 mic.
