How is the new SoaD cd?

It's good actually, initially I thought it was nowhere near as good as their first 2 albums, but it's definitely growing on me.

That "Fairy Tale of Metal" post got me wondering about folk metal, so I downloaded some off of Skyclad's website.  Good stuff!

For the metal/Metallica fans, If you wanna listen to something weird, listen to 'Iron Horse - Fade To Bluegrass: The Bluegrass Tribute To Metallica', I've almost never laughed so hard in my life.  The whole album just shouldn't exist, it's surreal.

Marylon Manson - 20 Greatest Hits
I expected this to be pretty strange but it wasn't bad. Manson gets to much bad press IMO. I like his cover of Tainted Love.

Dope - Life
These guys arn't too bad eiher. I had only heard one of their songs previous to this CD. I might get more.

Velvet Revolver
I haven't been able to give this one a listen yet but i have high hopes.

Metallica -  St. Anger
Alot of people think this is their worst album and was a let down. I think it is pretty good. It is kinda different from their older stuff though so i can understand why some fans were dissapointed.

Seether  - Karma and Effect
Another one i haven't been able to realy listen too. I know all of the songs i have heard from these guys were good though. So like Velvet Revolver i have high hopes.

System of a Down - Mesmerize
This album is REALLY good. I still don't know all the lyrics though.

Breaking Benjamin - We're not Alone Here
Another one i havem't heard all the way thru but what i have heard i liked.

One of the days last weekend that was doing yardwork was Rush day. I listened to:

Counterparts
Test for Echo
Roll the Bones
Vapor Trails

My friend (Vladimir on this board) gave me some Bob Dylan stuff to listen to, and I've been listening to that.  I like it a lot.

I've been listening to Flogging Molly. They're kinda like an Irish Cake. Totally rad.

Ok, so I thought Fade To Bluegrass was weird... this album is just surreal as hell:

Emo Side Project - Interstate Romance

Basically it's Emo/acoustic covers of hip-hop songs, like Big Pimpin' and Forgot About Dre for instance, done by what sounds like a bunch of 15 year olds... I'm still listening and going 'what the hell?!' at the moment.

Evanescence - Fallen

It is a pretty good CD. I love the singers voice.
