Just embarked on a 1980s nostalgia trip, and stumbled upon a Iron Maidenesque metal cover of the extended theme to Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs:

freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy

freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy freakboy

So, what didja think of that, Cartman?

Been on a classic hard rock and metal kick lately. Here are some of the highlights.

The Violent Femmes debut album while I was driving home, mainly because someone told me it was a folksy-punk album.  What?  I now have to seriously question this person's ability to identify music now. I do like the album, but it has more in common with British R&B from the 60's than anything else. Does anyone know if they ever really changed their sound?

Not in the slightest bit.

Killer!  Saw them with Chevelle, Crossfade, and some other bands in 2005, if I remember the year correctly.  Great show.  Unsung was one of my favorites in high school.

Giving the new Pink Floyd, Endless River, yet another run through.  Tragic that it is the last we will ever hear, but it is a wonderful farewell.

I first heard them in high school myself, from a recommendation from a friend.  I picked up their Aftertaste album, which was brand new at the time in 1997, and I have literally listened to that tape 1000 times.  I'm surprised it's survived that many plays, and I just added one more a couple of days ago in my car.

And they're one of the few bands that I really want to see in concert before I die, that I haven't had a chance to yet.  Ironically, I've seen both Chevelle (DuQuoin State Fair in DuQuoin, Illinois) and Crossfade (Pop's Nightclub in Sauget, Illinois).

I ripped the PersonaQ soundtrack to my ipod and combined with P3 and P4 soundtracks I made a "Best of Persona" playlist on my ipod, taking out the dissonant boss battle and dungeon themes and such.

@SirPsycho - Have you ever done a blog post on Shoji Meguro? I think he may not only be my favorite video game composer, but one of my favorite song writers in general, all time.

Also, I only have the standard P3 and P4 soundtracks. If anyone has the P3 FES or deluxe edition or deluxe editions of P4 OST or P4G OST (if there are such things), please PM me!
