Myself, I'm taking a listen to what should be in the soundtrack of the next Super Smash Bros. game:

Some people in this world have amazing talent.

This makes those people look like complete beginners.

Does that mean you like it, or... or what?

Sorry, I'm not too savvy with similes and metaphors and stuff.

Are metaphors like similes?

No, metaphors are similes, you silly!

And similies are like metaphors...

...um, I think.

Like I said, I'm not too savvy with 'em.

But, enough of this drivel-- allow me to present you with a couple Eurobeat tracks I've been diggin' lately:

I'll even throw in my fave tune from Gordon Sumner and the Hall Monitors:

Don't You (Forget About Me)      David Cook

I just took a listen to it a few moments ago.

And, ummm, no offense, but...

...just five seconds in, I wanted Mr. Cook to be subjected to a slow and painful death by Simple Minds themselves for butchering their iconic '80s tune. It doesn't help that he looks just as douchy as he sounds.

I knew there was a good reason why I never tuned in to American Idol...

BTW while Don't You (Forget About Me) was their most notable tune, as far as I'm concerned Simple Minds  brought their absolute best with Once Upon a Time.

A few of my fave cuts from that album include:

Come to think of it, I dig all of the tracks from that album.

Alive and Kicking... All the Things She Said... just a solid group of tunes from start to finish.

The Destructoid movie commentary for Resident Evil, and later I plan on blasting some Amorphis (the Skyforger album, to be exact).  Man I love working in a warehouse.

Just read about Razor Knuckles' break-up on another thread just moments ago.

That got me to listening to the Mamas and the Papas, who crafted some of the most upbeat break-up songs ever.

So, here's to you, Raze:

Ummm... it's not gay for a guy to dedicate a few tunes to another guy, right?

I mean, I know I live an hour away from SanFran, but that doesn't mean-- ahhh, forget it...
