Started playing Aladdin tonight. This game is so Earthworm Jim. Great fun, and very well done for a Genesis game

I didn't manage to find a copy of Aladdin in time. But I'm playing Lion King on Genesis.
Don't feel bad that you're getting stuck. The Aladdin Genesis is the harder version from what I understand.

They both ran on the David Perry engine and were both hand animated so there ya go.

Finished Goof Troop with G-2 and G-3. It was shorter than I expected but a fun game.

I had a little bit of time last night and reached level 3 on Goof Troop. Tonight I'll have a lot of time and I plan to finish it as well as an Aladdin game (probably the GEN version as I'm less familiar with that one).

Completed Aladdin (SNES) tonight, no achievements. I really liked the mechanics and flow of this game. The precison and timing of jumps is challenging and fun. Would have preferred a few more boss fights, but oh well.... I'm sure I will go back and try to complete the gem achievement.
Started Lion King and I can already tell it is going to be a bear. The jumps feel much lazier and less crisp than most games. Maybe I just have a problem with quadrapeds.

In Simba's defense, lions do spend most of the day sleeping. You're comment about lazy controls is zoologically justified.

Some of the platforms in Aladdin are a pain in the butt, especially in the Sultan's dungeon. You have to be very precise, and i can't tell you how many times I've landed in the very center of a platform only to see Aladdin plummit to the ground. Now i remember why i used to pull my games out of the system and throw them against the wall.
